Located in the heart of the city, conveniently connected to the Rideau Shopping Complex, our centralized location provides guests with an opportunity to explore the historical and cultural elements of the city such as Parliament Hill, the historic Byward Market, the National Gallery of Canada and the Canadian Museum of Civilization.
The Westin Ottawa has undergone many changes in the last year with the transformation of our lobby into a sleek, modern and sophisticated space for our guests to enjoy. This was the beginning of our journey as we grew the fresh, modern and renewing feeling throughout the hotel. In April 2008 we completed the Governor General Ballroom which brought an additional 7,400 square feet of premier space to the Hotel and features beautiful views of the Ottawa skyline, Parliament Hill and the Rideau Canal. We also added an Executive Meeting Centre with six meeting rooms which opened in November 2008. Lastly, our guest room renovation was finished in late 2009 which completed the physical renewal of our hotel. Above and beyond all of this it is our goal to make sure every guest interaction is different, better and more special.
