Typical New Jersey, it has not changed much I lived there for a year 56 years ago. I visited for two days to attend the wake and funeral of a much older cousin and to visit with many relatives still living in the area. Getting around anywhere in Northeastern NJ is a pain.

I went for one night to see the westfields mall for retail.

I went for one night to see the westfields mall for retail. I didn't realise that the whole of NJ is BYOB at all restaurants. My colleague had to walk to a bottle store to get some beers to have at dinner. There are two major highways - so we couldn't walk anywhere and had to take a cab to go anywhere.

Paramus is a great location for visiting the local area and...

Paramus is a great location for visiting the local area and even for going into NYC. It has 3 malls, including, I think one of the largest in NJ. It has plenty of convenience stores / gas stations. You do have to know your way around a bit especially around the convergence of Routes 4 and 17, but its central location and plenty of bus routes and even train availability into NYC make it the perfect place for a short stay. There are plenty of fast / semi-fast / and nice dining in the area as well. Again - you do have to know where to go - but I'm thinking that Trip Advisor and Yelp can be helpful with that. Van Saun Park is great for the kiddies all year long!

    Bathroom was not designed well.

Bathroom was not designed well. Very little space for the counter. Staff didn’t care much when asked where the ice machine was located. I had to come back and ask more for getting a clarification. I was told 11 am is the check out time and it is strictly enforced when I mentioned about my flight being in the night. I wanted upto 12 pm instead of 11am.

Hi I have booked this hotel for two nights on the basis of the room details (King room: 1 twin bed, 2 full beds, and 1 king bed) according to your data which suits my family Surprisingly, at the time of checking-in I found the rooms in this hotel were whether one king bed only or twin beds which made me enforced to check out the day after so I lost one-night due to false info. Therefore, I request you to refund one night at least from this booking as this was your fault in showing incorrect room specification

The hotel is nicely renovated (rooms, lobby, breakfast section). It was spotless, good breakfast, close to the highway (easy to get to a park and ride if you have a car). I have to mention the amazing service we received when cheking in. We were quite a bit earlier than chek-in time, but the lady on duty (sorry I did not notice her name) was incredibly nice and gave us a room anyway. This is definitely an hotel we'll go back to when visiting NYC. A+++++

I would like to mention that the staff was great, but Malena at the front desk was awesome! The cookies were a very nice touch and very good. Had the hotel smelling like grandma's kitchen. The breakfast was the best I've had at a hotel. Great selection. There was something for everyone. The pool was clean and a nice part of the stay as well.

The facility was well kept, considering it is an older facility. The room was in good shape with everything in working order. The bed was very comfortable and the lighting very pleasing. The breakfast was very good and the area kept clean and well stocked by the constantly in motion staff.

This hotel is pleasant, well located and had a nice breakfast. The bed is comfortable and has great pillows. I actually looked for the brand to see if I could buy them, but they are proprietary to Comfort Suites.
