The Civil War museum was really good, and the white House of the South was interesting. Went around the state Capital Building and joined a tour - big group and hence a little slow. We walked between places which worked for us. We used our car to see some of the site around Richmond. Well worth a visit.

The location was ideal having visited for the first time.

The location was ideal having visited for the first time. The close proximity to food stores compensated for the limited breakfast options. I was accommodated for an early check in at no additional cost and truly appreciated that. I did not get the room originally booked but understood perfectly. I will stay there another time.

The beauty of Richmond, I traveled when it was very green and the forests were in full bloom. The wedding location that I attended for my friends ceremony was magnificient. Richmond was easy to walk around on foot, full of little stores and places to eat. I used uber when I needed to with zero hassle. I personally loved the dog friendly areas and parks/ wide open spaces.

Customer service at the hotel was terrible Was built twice on my credit card for the same room. Tried to discuss the problem with the manager of the hotel, but he said he was too busy busy and transferred me to someone else. This is probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in would not recommend it.

historic property with really interesting features. Fantastic and fast breakfast sandwich at the restaurant. Walked to our meetings downtown, walked around the corner to Perly's for breakfast one day, which was fantastic. Public library with rare books collection across the street. You can park out front to check in. Street parking on the street, pay attention to the times or you might be towed. They pointed us to an economical overnight parking garage half a block away. Fantastic YMCA gym half a block away with hotel privileges.

The residential location was perfect and within walking distance to several museums, and restaurants in the historic Fan district of Richmond. Off street parking is a huge plus. We also liked that the building was built in the 1900’s and the room still had some of the original fixtures. The welcome bottle of wine, snacks and coffee was such a sweet gesture. The room was very clean and thoughtfully supplied with all the amenities you would expect in a high end hotel.

Both people working the front desk that I talked with were very nice, bright, cheerful, and helpful. As they form the first impression of the hotel this is very important. The room was clean and comfortable albeit a little dated. I had a room with a small balcony overlooking the interior courtyard and pool. Very nice. When you travel often you can tell when things are being done well or not. My impression is that this hotel has staff that care.

Getting to the hotel safely and having a clean and decent room. I will not take anything away from the staff because they were very nice. It was at checkout time, that the one person flip the script with her attitude and unprofessionalism. I did let her know that she could benefit from more training on how to treat your customer/guest.

Location was very good for me as I needed to be close to the University of Richmond. Other than the omelette, breakfast was shockingly poor. Also over the weekend, the hotel lobby gets too noisy with tons of kids and people talking very loudly and the sound gets amplified to my room on the 7th floor.
