The location is beautiful and safe. The host is exceptional, very attentive but didn't make us feel watched, great communication. The apt is beautiful and cozy and exceeded my expectations. I would refer my family and friends and will definitely be my 1st choice when I go back to CT. I was so impressed I had to bring my friend by to check it out! Kathy is phenomenal 👏

This room was great. Two bedroom , two bath suite. It had everything we needed for our Thanksgiving dinner. Nice sized table, utensils, plates, fridge with working ice maker and a dishwasher. It was spacious and comfy. Friendly staff and delish breakfast. Couldn’t ask for more.

Stratford was the closest we could get to Yale for graduation weekend. It was a nice location, just down the road from Milford, a quaint town with cute restaurants and a fun little ice cream shop on the water. We visited the beach not too far away and enjoyed collecting shells.

Love that it is right off the highway.
Love that it is right off the highway. But you feel like you are totally removed from the hustle bustle. There is a canal close to Long Beach
you can see the ferry and other large boats coming and going. Shells galore; not so much on Short Beach. Loving history, there is an old cemetery that is great for taking "rubbings" and learning about those who helped settle the area. The air museums are very cool and there is a brewery that is worth the visit.
This hotel is definitely special, I honestly loved my stay here because of the following:
- amazing design overall, every detail around the property has a bit of 'magic' in it
- we were offered bicycles to go around the area, which was so amazing in the morning!
- the mini-fridge had some awesome options (like tiny cocktails you could drink)
- our room was very clean, we could see our car from the window and also a bit of the Ocean, I really liked that!
I literally couldn't be more obsessed with this amazing, chic hotel!! Not only are the employees an absolute staple of the vibe (most esp. Sydney and Jason) but it's HELLA cute everywhere you look! The food, the drinks, the sunsets, the decor.. even the hallways have the scent of pine wood! The shell game on the beach is also supreme! I cannot wait to go back, Surfside.. I love theeee! <3 <3 <3
NOTHING. They did not serve any. Which meant beside the room I had to pay extra for breakfast. I had not counted on this. I am diabetic and can't eat donuts or pastries. I have stayed there before and have had a hot breakfast. This was not mentioned at the time of booking or I would never have booked this hotel. They would not adjust the price of the room which I thought they should.
The pool was well-maintained. The room was pretty nice. The traditional breakfast could only have been better if there was an omelet chef handy, or at least some less carby options. I once went to a hotel that sauteed cole slaw mix and served it for breakfast. That stuff rocks for breakfast. Earlier check-in than 4 would be nice too, like 2pm. The staff was nice.
The hotel is in a great area in town, with attractions such as the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater and many restaurants nearby. It is also easy to find and has a beautiful view, especially at sunset.
Great spacious rooms, friendly staff, warm swimming pool, great breakfast. Great price too! We stayed in a few other hotels in the area and this was by far our favorite! We will be back!
Old school motel with a 2021 revamp well-situated in Stratford and the surrounds programs fun events at the weekends and has an on-site comfort food pub - owner and all staff are great
The staff was extremely caring and helpful. I used to work for a 5 star 5 diamond Hotel. Everyone went out of they're way to make our stay comfortable and exceptional.
Location was convenient for our one night stop over during a roadtrip from PA to MA.
This hotel had the highest reviews compared to others with vacancy in the area.
nice atmosphere and style, it is definitely a hotel for summertime, but I enjoyed it right at the sea even on a rainy day in December. Nice little restaurant
