Titusville is a hidden gem if you love nature, love rockets, love a laid back, unpretentious vibe with some great food options. Excellent birding, nature coast, undeveloped beach, bioluminescent kayaking, national seashore, fishing. Adjacent to Kennedy Space Center, a quaint local space museum, rocket launch viewing, and astronaut memorial park. Catch a show from the Titusville Players if you can, one of the best community theater groups in Florida. Terrific variety of restaurants, including shakes and burgers at the Moonlight Drive-In, soul food at Loyd Have Mercy, cajun/creole at Paradise Bistro, and the famous rock shrimp at Dixie Crossroads. The facility was perfectly located for a visit to the space center. There was suppose to be a sattelite launch one of the nights we were there and we went to their viewing area. Unfortunately it was scrubbed at less than 2 minutes. The breakfast options were nicer than expected. It was a full, hot breakfast and the menu changed daily. The staff was so accomodating and cordial. The rooms and areas were spotless.

Titusville seemed like a blue collar town with few decent amenities. Restaurants in particular were very poor. Its main advantage is its proximity to Orlando Airport and various locales in that part of Eastern Florida, especially the Kennedy Space Center. I was there for wildlife photography. its proximity to Orlando Wetlands and Merritt Island was a big plus. I also was able to travel to Vero Beach and St. Augustine and it worked out well.Moris - 6.0Scored 6.0

We chose Titusville for its proximity to Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and we were not disappointed. The area has wonderful birds with easy access by car. I saw multiple new "life birds" and got great photos.
