Wow. This place did not disappoint. It's so beautiful and serene outside. 2 tree swings, a gazebo with a fireplace and plenty of seating that lights up at night. An outdoor shower, you walk in and it's instantly breathtaking. It was impeccably clean and smelled fantastic. The bath and shower were amazing. The bed was SO COMFORTABLE. The room was stocked with waters, kcups, creamer, and even chocolates. This is the perfect little getaway for peace and comfort!

Room was comfortable and the bed was so comfortable that I wanted to take it home. Staff was friendly. Snacks at the front desk were surprisingly cheap and great for a midnight snack.

Very clean inside and out. Had a neighbor but could not hear them. Amazing water pressure in the shower. Employee working when I checked in was very friendly and let me know they were able to get the fridge in my room cold before I came (I messaged the property and asked for this).

Love the laid back atmosphere, scenic riverscape, the large number of shops to explore, inluding antiques, clothing, accessories, art, pottery, glass blowing, breweries and wine, etc. The walkability of the town is a real plus with easy access to the spring fed Salado Creek. It has not been overly commercialized like others, and retains a more natural and eclectic vibe. There is something for everyone. Prices are very reasonable.

We said over and over how much we loved Salado.
We said over and over how much we loved Salado. Every shop we went in to was clean and neat and all of the owners were very kind. The town is lovely and actually so much to do for such a small town. I will plan a trip there every year!

Salado is a beautiful little town to spend time.
Salado is a beautiful little town to spend time. They need to keep the stores and restaurants open during holidays even if on weekdays. This town could have made good profits by staying open during Thanksgiving and Christmas however, since they were on weekdays, the tourists had no place to shop.....if it’s not open, we can’t come and eventually everyone will stop coming if the stores aren’t open every time we come. I love Salado. It’s really sad to see the mismanagement here.

Salado is such a nice place!
Salado is such a nice place! There are great places to eat and nice shops. You can spend a few hours strolling the main street or spend an entire weekend. All the shop owners are friendly and offer little tips about things to do and places to visit. I can't wait to return!

We have been going to Salado for 30 plus years now to visit family & friends. This little town has not really changed it is still got the little home town feel. We love riding through the neighborhoods watching the deer that wonder around.

We came for a wedding and discovered the old town area and wished we could have stayed longer to explore shops. A Memorial Day celebration with a lot of food vendors located along the streets and multiple places to eat and shop. Very charming ! There is a beautiful river park with swimming and picnic area. Great place to come with family and chill out over long weekend.
Great location, great view, and comfortable bed. You will see lots of deer, and Salado is a very quaint/fun place to stay. I traveled for work and it was ideal. The owner also went above and beyond to get me an itemized receipt that my employer was requesting (it was a work trip).
The location was great to quickly drive to UMHB and other various restaurants and shops near Belton/Temple. The waffles were great. The WiFi was excellent in speed and tv channels were good.
