Quality Inn & Suites Mount Chalet, hotel in Clayton

The Quality Inn & Suites Mt. Chalet is located 15 minutes from the Chattooga River.

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions. Hotel options are very limited in Clayton GA!. While I never stay in Two Star Hotels I have no reservations about staying at this Quality Inn in the future. Rooms are well maintained and clean but a bit dated. Beds and towels are clean and shower works well. I also like the location off the main HWY 23 and the back facing rooms are particularly quiet

We had difficulty finding check-in office due to the Mexican Restaurant that resides in the middle of the property. We were greeted with a reprimand for not scheduling in the morning. We had no idea they had an Oktoberfest going on and we had selected only a place to stay for traveling purposes when we had become tired and wanted to get some sleep. We were told we were the last room. There was a dead roach in one corner. The dead bolt did not work from the inside. We contemplated leaving but were tired. There was inadequate seating for breakfast. Not a pleasant experience. No reason to ever go back.

Beautiful town centered in middle of mountain range filled with friendly people. Not just a drive through. Easy to get to. Offers an array of VERY interesting shops and modern country style restaurants. Lots of walking trails, boating, fishing and breathtaking views. Relaxation abounds. This was our 4th visit with plans to return.

Do better with taking care of everyone equally!!! not just because of their look different and listen !!! people are willing to pay why not meet their needs and are respectful towards their needs. Not everybody smokes we respect that!!! But be reasonable that’s why’s we book in hotels It’s supposed to be the best in the area but slightly disappointing. Do better but we love like 3 of all your staff ! Ask and let us explain

Clayton is a great little mountain town with numerous really good restaurants. The Rusty Bike Cafe and Universal Joint are two of my favorites. The Rusty Bike has a great breakfast, but get there early. The mountain scenery can't be beat either. Tallullah Gorge State Park and Black Rock Mountain State Park are beautiful and the trails will help you work off your breakfast of banana bread French toast from The Rusty Bike. The Blue Ridge Honey Company is near the town of Clayton on Hwy 441. They have a good selection of honey at reasonable prices. There are also wineries and lakes in the area, for those who are interested.

Such a cute, little mountain town!

Such a cute, little mountain town! So many shops and restaurants within walking distance of the inn where we stayed. Everywhere that we ate was delicious. Several state parks are within a short drive. We visited Moccasin Creek State Park for hiking, and took a very nice hike to Hemlock Falls. Fortify 3.14, Universal Joint, and Rumor Has it were delicious restaurants. Were recommended Fortify fine dining, but reservations were not available when were there. We stayed at the White Birch Inn. I HIGHLY recommend staying there! Lovely inn with so many amenities, great breakfast, and wonderful staff! We are already planning our next trip back! We didn't have time to do everything that we would like to have done!

We were traveling with our dog and the hotel was pet friendly. Breakfast was great we had fresh waffles. The rooms were clean, bathroom was nice and big. We had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker etc... free wifi worked great for my son who was doing virtual school homework. There were several places to eat near by. We only spent one night but as a family of 7 and a dog it was a great stay.

Nice couple runs it. Breakfasts were outstanding. Last night, the couple was held up by rain, and there was no wine reception . I had to go outside to get their text since reception in the room was nonexistenty. It would have been nice if they offered us the bottle of wine free since they were not there. We were the only guests.
