Check in was easy. Hotel/room was clean & Bed was comfy. Breakfast was decent with typical rolls, toast, waffles,etc. and appreciated. location was great! I would definitely stay again.

We loved everything about the property and our stay! It was super clean and organized and very well appointed (I am now addicted to white chocolate peppermint tea😁) The communication with Tanya was easy and quick. After a 5 hour flight this place was heaven!

The room was comfortable although not as clean as I would prefer. The breakfast was good, although the service was lacking ( I had to track someone down to restock the bowls and spoons and refill the water).

We stayed in Matthews while visiting family.
We stayed in Matthews while visiting family. Hotel was in great location, close to our kids and lots of shopping and restaurants close by. Traffic in the area was quite heavy at times, but not terrible. Breakfast area was a little tight on the weekend, and we didn't care for the coffee brand they served, but other than that, the hotel was a very good value! Matthews is a very nice suburb outside of Charlotte.
Matthews is a very nice suburb outside of Charlotte. A lot of renovation of building new businesses and Roads are in the process. There is lots of good places to eat and Shop. Downtown Matthews is pretty cool too check out, you can park and walk down the street and Window Shop as well as try out different local restaurants and pubs.

Clean rooms.
Clean rooms. I didn't like that I had to call front desk to get room service and I still didn't get it till 3 days after staying there. One of the staff was rude and he seemed like he didn't like our presence there it was very uncomfortable to have to greet him because he wouldn't answer we felt ignored by him.

Matthews was about 30 minutes from the University.
Matthews was about 30 minutes from the University. Location of this hotel was ok. Off the beaten path from 485 and if you are heading back to the hotel from 74 the GPS misses the exit. Would stay again, probably.

The location of the hotel is great and the young lady who checked us in was great, but this hotel needs a deep cleaning the furniture is stained in the lobby as well as the room and the room smelled like mold. If you are just going to be in town for 1 night then its OK, but not for any length of time.

I feel sure when the construction is finished with it will be a much nicer place to stay. I was very impressed with the young lady that helped me. Her name was Ashley She was on the evening of July 2 when we checked in. We went to our room and it smelled of smoke from someone smoking in the room.. I call and told her I was not happy with that and also all the construction workers hanging around the right side of the building outside. She directed us to a room on the inside entrance to the hotel and it did not smell. She was very nice to me and a big help. I have always been very satisfied with Quality Inn. I would not recommend Matthews to anyone at this time until the construction on the road is completed.
