We stayed at a great many budget hotels and most of them are nowhere near as clean and spacious as the room we were given. Honestly we have never been disappointed with a Hotel 6, and this was no exception.

Breakfast was good and above average for this type of location. The staff was outstanding. The front desk staff was very helpful and welcoming. The location is perfect for our visits to Gastonia.

18 miles from Billy Graham Library, Tru By Hilton Gastonia is located in Gastonia and provides air-conditioned rooms. This 3-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk.
I'm from this city. I was there to help a friend get moved back into his home.
I'm a little disappointed at how run down it seems to have gotten. But it appears they are trying to revitalize.
Gastonia's location to mountains and Charlotte is great. They have a wonderful museum and some awesome parks for hiking etc. It offers plenty of restaurants and shopping.

When we arrived at the motel, we observed a police officer parked across the street. In talking with a tenant by the office, we were told they are constantly present at the motel. The person who checked us in was very polite and courteous, but as we were walking to our room, we noted a strong odor of cigarette smoke and marijuana throughout. The room we were assigned was ajar, and smelled the same. When we went to advise the office of our intent to leave, the sign on the door said closed, however there was a person at the desk doing some type of transaction. When we asked for a refund, we were told to ask for Max (general manager, on Monday. After talking to the general manager, Cassandra, we learned that Max was only an assistant manager. She promptly took care of this for us. The customer service rep at Booking.com, was also very helpful. In conclusion, I highly recommend only potentially a single male (no families) stay here at this location.

I liked the idea of having a hotel downtown where I could walk around and visit shops and restaurants, etc. There wasn't really much to see downtown but driving around Gastonia was very picturesque. We enjoyed Tony's Ice Cream and Pita Wheel. I would totally recommend the Barrister Restaurant at the Esquire hotel. It was A+.

We stayed in Gastonia because everything else was booked for the weekend in Charlotte (our true destination). Gastonia is a quiet town on the outskirts of Charlotte, and although we did not do go sightseeing there, it seemed like a typical residential community.

Room was decent but bed spread was dirty and had holes from cigarette burns but the room was a non-smoking room. NO one including the staff wore masks. The door lock didn’t work to my room and I basically had to prove to the attendant by going back and forth to the room 3 times before she even offered to help me get into the room I paid for. The batteries in the door lock were dead. Also the attendants kept talking about calling the police on a guest there which frightened me. They should have talked privately about that. Very unprofessional. Hotel was ok but staff needs an overhaul.

Rooms were Awesome! The Service is Not so Good!
Rooms were Awesome! The Service is Not so Good! You don't know what to expect when you Book a room whether they gave it away or can't find your confirmation,
Very sceptical about booking Quality Inn!
The staff was extremely friendly and made check-in easy. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable for a hotel, and it was clean. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. There was no microwave, but there was a little refrigerator. The location was no more noisy than other locations in Gastonia, which is a noisy city. I was able to use the YouTube app to play rain sounds and not hear anything outside. Breakfast was very basic, but it was free. 24/hr coffee bar was good too. Would stay there again.
We were suppose to get a non smoking room. We checked in and went to the room. It smelled so bad like smoke and there was a cigarette burn on the sheets . No way we could stay in there . But the girl in the front was really nice she refund our money and she called another hotel for us to get us another room at quality inn . So we did not even stay in the econo lodge
The breakfast is provided by what appears to be a cafe concession in the hotel basement which definitely could have a good vibe as a venue, the food is decent enough, indeed much better than expected, but most importantly they serve real coffee! you can get a really good espresso in a proper china espresso cup etc and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly...the hotel was clean...the room and bed was comfortable...the hallways were quite and smelled freshly cleaned and vacuumed...the stay was wonderful...I would surely stay here again next time I am in Gastonia..
Nothing. I would never stay here again or recommend it. Room was dirty and I could’t even rest, noise was too loud and the doors didn’t even closed properly. Bed was cheap quality and it didn’t felt safe at all.
The location is great because there's a ton of restaurants and shopping within 5 miles of the hotel. It's nice that they have an indoor pool as well. The staff was really nice and accommodating.
I did not get my two beds in that I paid for. They have bed bug I had to leave and stay with my mother the rest of my time in the state. I will never stay with that hotel again.
