I didn't do much in Dobson,.
I didn't do much in Dobson,. I was on a Motorcycle tour and just passing thru. The "Diner" next door was open early, served good food at a great price with a friendly staff. Hotel accomodations were dated and worn out. The Staff was so friendly and polite, and made our stay better than it should have been. This place needs a face lift, bad.

Cute town, a few diners, many wineries in area.
Cute town, a few diners, many wineries in area. Very close to Mt. Aery (Mayberry). Try to go the second weekend of Oct. for Mayberry street festival...SUPER FUN!!! Great place to eat (pricey) right outside Dobson is Cody Creek Beautiful grounds!!

They had wine tasting on Friday night at the hotel. This was an unexpected surprise for me! The room was comfortable and quiet. The hot breakfast was excellent, but very popular. Seating was difficult, so we sat at the tables outside.
