The staff were very kind and helpful when checking in and also helped us when problems arose. The two rooms I booked were overall comfortable and suited our needs for the trip. The lobby was nice and it’s clear that they are putting work into making this hotel better and more updated.

Gloucester is a wonderful community brimming with history and excellent local attractions. There are several antique stores/markets in the area as well as unique boutique shops that sell a wide variety of items. These include clothing, bath & body items, and hand-crafted items. Gloucester Courthouse also is home to several locally owned eating establishments. Among my favorites is Olivia's where you can enjoy a wonderful breakfast to begin your day. Olivia's also serves lunch and dinner featuring traditional Virginia dishes. It is popular among the locals, which is always a good indication of excellent food. Gloucester Courthouse is also home to an art co-op, Art on the Main, that features artwork by local artists. The co-op also offers art classes. Most importantly, the people of Gloucester are friendly and inviting providing genuine southern hospitality to visitors.JAMES - 8.0Scored 8.0

I did not stay long, so I only drove through the heart of the town to see if I wanted to make an effort to return. It appeared to be well kept and charming. I will make a return trip so that I can spend an afternoon visiting shops and having lunch downtown.

Had a little trouble finding a decent restaurant in the area, but made the best of what was available. The home was comfortable, spacious, clean and gorgeous! The host even left us water and snacks! Celebrating our anniversary was awesome, we sat in the swings by the water and watched the sunset! Even had the fire pit going for a minute! It was so beautiful to wake up in the morning to see the incredible sunrise. It was very peaceful.
