    We had a no charge cancellation reservation at Microtel.

    We had a no charge cancellation reservation at Microtel. The day before we were scheduled to be there we had to change reservation to a day later. Booking.com couldn't change the date without hotel approval, they say they sent a request. The Hotel claims they never received the request from booking.com and they couldn't change without booking.com approval. Could not contact booking.com (they don't want to be contacted) and because 24 hrs are required for cancellation , we forfeited the reservation. We re-booked for the next day with another agency using the same search with a pet friendly filter. Reserved a disabled room on a pre-paid basis. When we tried to check in we were informed disabled rooms can not have pets(NON-DISABLED CAN... SOUNDS LIKE DISCRIMINATION TO ME) We said we'd take a standard pet friendly room. They said they couldn't change the booking and we'd have to book and pay for a new reservation. THAT'S THREE TIMES WE HAD TO PAY FOR A ONE NIGHT STAY!!! Staff has a very poor attitude. Very unhelpful. We'll never stay there again and avoid using booking.com in the future.

    do not book through Booking.com if you are travelling with pets. The pet policy is not clearly spelled out and will only apply to specific rooms. Booking.com does not respond even though they advertise that you can request a change.
