The cleaning was second to none, i have never seen a place so spotless. and 3/3 staff members that i met snd dealt with were all lovely, in particular megan!
We went for the balloon festival. They were very cautious about the balloons. In the past festivals they have the balloons static and then decided if they could launch or not.
Craig was well maintained and clean. We loved the city park. Great artist in town with lots of tree sculptures. We loved Prodigal son for breakfast, super friendly staff and delicious food.

We went to Craig, CO to look for their petroglyph site.
We went to Craig, CO to look for their petroglyph site. Did find what we were looking for and was a convenient hike. It could have been marked though instead of us having to figure it out. In looking for a place to have dinner, we realized that the places advertised on the internet were closed and what made it worse is that there were no numbers on the businesses so we did not know if we had passed what we were looking for. We finally asked some locals and they told us about the OP Bar and Grill. The staff was shorthanded but very friendly. We sat outside and the atmosphere was great. The food came and was worth the wait. Reasonably priced and delicious. The only confusion with Craig was Hwy 14 was divided in the middle of town. Seemed confusing and unnecessary.

We stayed in Craig for one night due to a shortage of hotels in Steamboat. You definitely need a car. There is no Uber or easy mode of transportation. There is a bus that takes you from Craig to Steamboat. I am sure that Craig is a lovely place, I was there too short of a time to comment. The Mexican restaurant in town was great!

This is at least my 10th time to Craig.
This is at least my 10th time to Craig. They have a wonderful hospital the staff is very friendly. Love to go down town and shop. Getting way to many out price stores.
Why do they put gas up so high when the hunters come in. That is not right. When you get gas on the highway for 1.87 and Craig was 2.54 no reason for that. Town needs to do more for when the hunters come in and spend a lot of money in your town.

The sand wash basin was the main place for us.
The sand wash basin was the main place for us. I would recommend it as the first priority to visit. The wild horse mustangs were great to watch. Don't miss going to the northwest museum. Don't miss the carved statues all around town.

Horrible weather brought us to Craig.
Horrible weather brought us to Craig. The following morning we drove past some beautiful scenery. We ordered pizza at a local pizzeria. It wasn't very good, and wouldn't order from there again. It was one of the few places that would deliver.
This is like the motels we stayed in during family vacations in the 1950s when I was a kid. Large room, table and chairs, nice old bathroom and everything works. It's updated with flat panel TV, microwave and small fridge, so it still has everything you need. Outdoor chairs where you can sit in the shade outside the door, and an area with picnic tables and gas grills for do it yourself supper. Really loved this place!
This hotel is not fabulous, sparkling or luxurious. It is somewhat worn, slightly beat, and older. What I liked: comfortable bed, usable furniture, clean, working plumbing (takes a while for hot water to reach the room, hold down the toilet handle when you flush). Not a perfect place, just a decent room at a decent price.
After being on the road (15 days of sightseeing in Utah/NM) this was our last hotel. Even though it was a bit out of the way to come through Craig, CO, we'll always make this hotel our stop coming and going for sure. Great room great bed/mattress, quiet - this was our favorite place to stay of them all :-)
when i booked the room everything went smooth. When i got to the hotel i was told that they dont rent to locals. I was having problems with my heater and when i explained my self to the lady that checked me in, she was more then helpful. she was friendly and explained everything perfectly.
The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was ok, but is understandable as per covid safety.
The location was near town and easy to get in & out with traffic. Did not get a chance to use the swimming pool, but it looked nice.
Good location although Google misdirects the exact address to farther down the highway; it's accurate if you search the hotel name. Well-lit parking outside the motel. Room was large.
Staff is super friendly. The hotel offers lots of services like free use of laundry machines. The kitchenette was great and would have been very helpful for a longer stay.
