Oglesby is a pleasant small town, only a 10 - 15 minute drive from Starved Rock State Park. Discovered 2 nice places to eat; the first is called the Root Beer Stand, with the old time outdoor park and order car corrals with speakers. The food is brought out to your car and they mafe their own INCREDIBLE root beer and serve good food. The second place is CortiLeno's, a bar and grill. My wife and I LOVE pizza and have had pizza from hundreds of places throughout the country and CortiLeno's is among the BEST!

You are close about 10 minutes from all the state parks that are full of activities. Also we visited a local restaurant (Cindy's on 39) we were very pleased with the fresh cooked meals. Overall it is a quaint little town.

Was literally the most quiet hotel in which we have ever visited. The coffee was exceptional and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was nice that they still changed our trash bins and refreshed towels, as all other hotels seem to be using covid as a reason to eliminate this very important service! All around fantastic experience. Would return in a heartbeat!
It carries the Wyndham brand so my expectations were high. This hotels shows it knows Covid exists. Lots of hand sanitizer. Mask requirements are mask requirements. End of story. The staff were welcoming. Check in was efficient. The rooms were clean and good value.
Clean comfortable room with an effective but quiet air handler. Breakfast offered eggs, bacon, reasonably good croissant egg-sausage sandwiches, yogurt, and the usual waffles and other continental items. Coffee was up to par. Hotel seemed nice and quiet.
This hotel was remarkably clean. When speaking with the manager he gave all the credit to the staff. I will definitely stay there again when in the area.
