Very easy drive to Newport attractions .
Very easy drive to Newport attractions . Portsmouth is a sleepy town on the north end of the island. Tip if driving in from the west, take the southern route and the Pell bridge. Traffic through Providence was horrible.

The location is about 20 minutes from Newport on most low traffic days and the commute was tolerable for the fest. I would highly recommend the hotel. My room was spotlessly clean, comfortably appointed, and well equipped with shampoo, soap, conditioner, and even a toothbrush. Everything was NEW. It was the antithesis of what one thinks one will get by staying in a Motel and I probably will stay there again next year.AstridaUnited States of America

The price and location were great b/c we could not find an affordable place to stay in Newport so Founder's Brook in Portsmouth was a great compromise for us. The landscaping is amazingly beautiful!
