Williamstown and North Adams are different towns and both have a great deal to offer. Easy access between each town, and to multiple hiking trails, as well as superb museums, makes the two towns an extremely attractive visit.

Nice little town. Friendly businesses and residents.
Nice little town. Friendly businesses and residents. Owner recommended Waterstreet Grill after we told her what type of food we were looking for when we arrived. She showed us how to get there. The restaurant staff were friendly and food was great there too.

Williamstown is a lovely college town in the foothills of the Berkshires. It has an active art scene with The Clark Institute, The Williams College Art Center, and the Willamstown Theater. It is nearby North Adams and the MassMoca Art Center, Pittsfield's Barrington Stage Theater, Tanglewood, Lenox, West Stockbridge Theater, and the Norman Rockwell Museum. The Berkshires is a playground for hiking, kayaking, biking, restaurants, music, dance, and offers a serene setting to relax and rejuvenate.

Lovely New England college town.
Lovely New England college town. Outstanding museum (Clark Art Institute), the reason for our visit. Very limited fine dining options on a Monday night; ate at Pera and highly recommend it! Very limited reasonably priced hotel/motel/B&B options.

We love Williamstown.
We love Williamstown. We have a long history of attending Williams and having family live in town. Our granddaughter now attends Williams so we go down from Burlington, Vermont every chance we get (which was not much during 2020 - Pandemic Year!). It is always a joyful place to be, especially Spring Street and The Tunnel!
My son and daughter-in-law stayed there and said it wonderful. It was clean, the owner and staff were friendly. Their room overlooked the pool and beautiful backyard with horses on the other side of the fence. A big plus was the fantastic water pressure for taking showers, so they told me. Great accommodations for a very reasonable price for the Williamstown area. Great little motel with with big comfort. Accolades to Maple Terrace.🤗
My spouse and I have stayed here three nights now. The first time we stayed, it was for 2 nights. Our room was great; without any hassle, it was neat and clean, simple, comfortable and cozy, quiet and peaceful, and offered a great price point. Our third stay here, has been pretty relaxing 😊. I plan on coming back to stay anytime I want/need a hotel room in the area and I would definitely suggest a stay at The 1896 House Country Inn.
the motel was really great! The room was great, with free coffee included, very clean and spacious. the view outside the window is also very nice. Sonal, the hotel manager, was super friendly and attentive. There was a waffle machine for the breakfast, which did delicious waffles! We were there with our daughter (14 y) and had a really great stay!
One of our best stays ever. Nice spacious room, comfortable bed, plenty of space to hang clothes, very quiet, excellent bathroom and all brilliantly clean. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful, local information in the room was very useful and WiFi was strong and reliable.
Close enough to Williamstown centre to walk.
The Williamstown Motel is typical of older motel lodgings. It is however very clean, quiet, with very friendly owners. They offered a more than adequate continental breakfast. The room contained a full size refrigerator and burners for preparing a light meal. The location was in a central location in Williamstown.
Room was cute, bed comfortable, nice breakfast and breakfast area, 15 minutes from Jiminy Peak, 15 minutes from Williamstown. River behind property , the water running makes for a nice sound. They set up a firepit in the back. I did not use it but it was pretty. Basketball hoop in the back of property.
I am airline Pilot I travel often and stayed in many hotels and motels most are average. However I have to rank this above all .Not only is it very clean ,newly updated and flawless, the owners were very kind and professional. Thanks to the housekeepers that do a fantastic job. Vinni Bha Ji Great
Breakfast was comparable with other hotels, simple and quick. Location was convenient for my travels. Room clean and simple but dated. Clean bed and bath, Bed very comfortable Typical noise from busy road. Great hot water but missing hair drier. TV was a few channels.
We stayed in this hotel many times. It's our favorite in terms of price, location and comfort. Staff is always nice: this time they let us check in early. The room was very clean with a fridge and a microwave. Coffee machine was stocked. Bed was very comfortable.
Could not use room because there was limited parking and places to locally go due to a graduation training place nearby. Hotel and Booking.com would not let us cancel when we called early to voice our concerns. Paid for a room we couldn’t use!
Location excellent as it allowed for walking around the college campus as well as the little village shopping area. Such a clean place to stay coupled with all the appropriate updates. New hotel but it fit into the area in Williamstown.
One of the few motels in Williamstown and does not require minimum stay which is helpful. Nice breakfast which would have been more enjoyable if the owner wasn’t hovering asking for positive ratings. Very basic place for an overnight stay.
Clean rooms. Lots of towels. I have just traveled on a work trip and a vacation before this, staying at 4-5 star hotels and this motel had the most comfortable bed and pillows of my recent stays. Good strong coffee in the morning.
Perfect location for The Clark Art Institute and Williamstown. The proprietors were so nice! Clean, great shower, quiet. We stayed an extra night, we liked it so much. We will definitely stay here again!
The Williamstown Motel was booked at the last minute while we were out Leaf Peeping. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location was perfect for when we wanted to stop for the night.
Comfortable and well-appointed 2nd floor apartment in Williamstown. Comfy beds. We appreciated
the AC and the coffee maker. A quick drive to center of town and Williams campus.
