The property has a lot of potential, but it really needs somebody that cares to take care of it. It was so dusty you could write your name on every piece of furniture. The coffee pot was so dirty it was unusable.I bought bleach cleaner and clean the tub before we showered.

Despite the road construction it was easily navigated and I had access to everything I wanted to see. Lots of hiking opportunities, historic and cultural sites and good restaurants within a few miles. Love the location on the Mississippi River.

At the end of an unremarkable street in Marquette, Randy has built a little paradise. Exquisitely decorated rustic rooms with BBQ pit. Beautiful fishpond. Host of bird life. And a deer and her fawn grazed peaceably just 50 yards from our window. And strong WiFi. Visit fascinating Prairie du Chien just 5 minutes across the Mississipi and into Wisconsin. This time we had our train loving son with us and he was so happy that the train was right outside our window. He loved the room and had a great time despite the fact that he loves to swim and the hotel doesn't have a pool. We will stay with him again because he loves the atmosphere and so do we. The hotel provides ear plugs, which I found awesome, although we did not use them. For breakfast, I liked the option of cream cheese and boiled eggs (as opposed to those fake eggs served everywhere else). Beds and pillows were very comfy and cozy. The room was super clean squeaky clean (this is what we always look for).
