The Inn Keepers were very friendly and helpful. Katherine spent time with us showing us around and giving us the history of the Inn. Every room had a theme. We stayed in the Bettie Davis room which was lovely.

The breakfasts we had were delicious and beautifully presented. We loved that one day was an egg dish and the next was sweet. Janis & Peter went out their way to make a safe and delicious gluten free option for me!

Camden is a beautiful and historic city. We visited the Windsor Chair Factory, walked all the streets of the historic downtown, took a sailing trip on the Surprise, a two-masted wooden sailing schooner - magical (Ramiro and Nicole de Acevedo Ramos 207.236.4687). The Farnsworth Museum is close (Rockland) and is a must-see if you like Wyeth.

Loved the scenic walkability and cozy feel of the town.
Loved the scenic walkability and cozy feel of the town. Did not love the lack of available restaurants that could accommodate our large family. 2 hour wait most nites, no reservations accepted. Hard for kids to have Late dinners or wait when they are starving. Finally settled on take out chinese in Camden and ate on hotels back deck. Otherwise lovely area, will return in slower season.

Downtown easily walkable.
Downtown easily walkable. Many choices for dining and shopping. We went during shoulder season and not all restaurants and shops were open and if they were, hours were limited . Can easily see when in season things would get very crowded.

Camden is one of Maine's prettiest towns, it sits on the water and is surrounded by mountains, perfect! Downtown Camden is so picturesque with its harbor and cute little shops, so many from which to choose! Although the weather was not nice at all while we visited, we were able to get out and walk and loved that Camden had a fraction of visitors that it typically has!
My wife and I had breakfast at the Hotel - Breakfast was very good and staff was excellent. We had Lunch in town at the local Deli ( Delicious ) and in the evening we enjoyed ice cream on the Riverhouse Grounds which are well taking care of. Overall Riverhouse Hotel room was very clean and staff was pleasant and accommodating . Riverhouse Hotel is in an excellent location within a short walking distance to restaurants and all local attractions in Camden. We will definitely be back.
The staff was so friendly and took care of a booking miscue so professionally and then offered us a glass of wine while they made up another room for us. So classy! The location was close to Camden, but away and quiet. The great room was just lovely and spacious! Breakfast was creative and delicious. But our King bed (2 twins together) in Room 106 was AMAZING! From the sheets and comforter to the mattress it was like sleeping on a soft cloud. Highly recommend this inn!
The location along the northern outskirts of Camden was very convenient along interstate 1, as well as the Camden Harbor on Penobscot Bay.
There was a small beach at the end of the property that we were able to put our feet in, but a bit of a hike was involved. The ice machine was perfect for filling our water bottles in the hot weather, and fresh fruit at breakfast was nice. Lemon poppy seed muffin was excellent.
The bedsheets were clean.
The room was very cosy with a fireplace. Loved that!
Balcony with nice view
Very good bathroom with great shower (water could come form all the corners!)
Nice bar where they made great cocktails
Nice atmosphere in the hotel. Nice chairs to sit in. Xmas feeling.
Good recommendation to go to a mountain and to go to a lobster place
Fantastic personable hosts (Bob & Cat) who made us feel right at home.
Gorgeous character filled room with fantastic fireplace and 4 poster bed.
Homemade breakfast was delicious (especially the homemade blackberry jam and the crispy bacon).
Location is perfect to explore Camden.
A really nice innkeeper, Mark, who served a lovely breakfast every morning. Perfect location, access to the beach, not sandy, but still beautiful and fun for kids to throw pebbles in the water. Close to the supermarket, Camden state park etc. Loved it and will be back
Behind the hotel they provide a recreational area with games and a fire pit where guest gathered to visit. They also provide a variety of ingredients to make smoors. The property was well maintained and surrounded by lots of plants and flowers.
Our hosts were amazing and took great care to see that we were ok. They made a huge effort to produce an exceptional breakfast which we ate outside. The entire experience was outstanding and I would recommend the Elms of Camden to anyone.
The Hartstone staff were friendly, helpful with our luggage, and accommodating of our like for a game table. The breakfast was outstanding and the location in./near central Camden promotes our walking desires.
Cutest bed and breakfast in Camden. The property is well kept. The fire pits and enjoying coffee in the morning on the front porch. Staff was very accommodating and friendly! Will go back!
We loved everything!! Staff was friendly, very accommodating…
Location and property were wonderful; and easy drive back into Camden, or further up the coast to Maine coastal towns.
Excellent service and convenience to the Camden Main Street shops. Breakfast offered a wide-variety of choices including Gluten Free bagels which pleased my wife (gluten-free).
