Burlington is a nice little town with all the basic conveniences. Old downtown Mt. Vernon is a quaint little shopping area with a wonderful old theatre (The Lincoln). They have a natural food co-op, brewery, and our favorite place for breakfast, Calico Cupboard. Best of all it is centrally located to take quick day trips up towards the mountains, or over to the waters and Salish Sea. It is not far from Deception Pass, or you can take a scenic drive up Chuckanut Drive to Bellingham. The parking lot felt safe even when I walked our little dog at night and in the morning.La Pointe - 10Scored 10

The hotel is very clean, staff was pleasant, breakfast was good and the pool & sauna were immaculate. The only issue for us was the trains go by starting at 5am. We would stay again as all hotels have some kind of a noise issue. Enjoyed our stay.

Cute little town with shops and restaurants. The hotel is located in the commercial area. About a 5-minute drive to the historic center. Check out calico cupboard for amazing cinnamon rolls. If you get over to Anacortes and like diner food highly recommend Dad's D iner and get there special breakfast burrito - Awesome!

Loved the quietness of Burlington compared to Bellingham, slower pace for shopping Loved the restaurants in the area except a little frustrated as a Canadian whose credit card and debit have a chip and found out that Olive Garden's system will not accept this would make it very difficult for someone who did not carry enough cash to cover their meal.
