I am a frequent guest at this hotel as I work in the area and commute from Upstate NY. It is clean, quiet, and comfortable and the staff is very pleasant and courteous. Crossing the street in front of the hotel, however, is not always easy. It is a very busy street and traffic moves at a good rate of speed. Not the fault of the hotel. I would recommend it for anyone staying in the area looking for reasonable prices and comfortable accommodations. « less

To be honest when you approach the hotel the street leading up to the building is something that will make you nervous. The road needs serious care and the neighboring building is mostly vacant and run down. However once you enter the hotel and your room the stay is quite enjoyable. Simple but comfortable. Decent and clean. Loved the shower in room very large and can be used as a steam room. Across the street is a gas station/convenient store as well as where the bus stop heading straight into NYC in about 20 minutes. As well there is a Subway restaurant, Popeyes Chicken and Burger/Pizza however they close early so best for breakfast and lunch. Quick 10 minute walk to IZOD Center and Metlife Stadium although be careful as you need to walk alongside the road and can be dangerous if you're not paying attention. Great place to stay if attending events in the arenas and to visit NYC while on a strict budget. Friendly staff who will give advice on how to get into the City and other inquiries. Will definitely stay once again when I return to the New York City areas. « less

As we planned our rush visit to NYC, we decided to stay in an outlying area and ride public transportation rather than driving into New York. We were able to take the bus just one block away from the hotel. One downside of our marathon road trip was lots of luggage. The staff were helpful and accommodating in every possible way, allowing us to check in early enough to have our things situated and lot just left in the car. We knew we were not staying in a 4 or 5 star facility, but we enjoyed very much the basic services and the friendliness of the staff. The breakfast area seemed to be in a temporary location, but we found the breakfast service to be adequate and served our needs. « less

Went there for Wrestlemania 29 and had the time of my life, and this hotel was a huge part of it. The place is a 10 minute walk from the MetLife Stadium (Jets, Giants) and the Izod Center (just across the street).
Great free breakfast, several vending machines, LCD's on every room; in other words, EVERYTHING YOU NEED.
Those other reviewers are expecting a 5 star hotel, and this is not one. Having said that, this is WAY better than a Holliday Inn for example.
