Beckley was a half way point on our way south. Hotel staff was very friendly and the room was clean. Food in the restaurant was average. The coffee is in desperate need of a makeover though. It was so weak, it looked like brown water. Other than that, it satisfactory for our needs; very convenient location. « less

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The front desk staff was amazingly nice. (Edward and somebody that was actually not even on duty) The room had a small leak (or what turned out to be a not all the way closed window) and after reporting it, It was fixed within two minutes. Everybody is so nice here. The restaurant is also great (costs as much as any normal sit down restaurant), but so worth it. Every time I come to Beckley, I plan on staying here. « less

This is the stopover town for our annual trip to Raleigh, NC. I tried Priceline for the first time and requested a 3 star hotel. Rate was good and was totally satisfied with this hotel. Front desk staff was courteous and helpful. The room was nicely decorated and clean, clean, clean. Totally satisfied and will be back! « less

I recently stayed here on two separate occasions and couldn't be any happier about my stay. This is a newer property with a great lobby and restaurant area. This hotel is one of the few hotel's I've stayed in that will upgrade your room if you are a Platinum member. Both of my stay's were for over two weeks at a time so it was nice to have the extra space. The hotel itself is just right off of interstate 77 and easily accessible. There are plenty of places to eat such as Cracker Barrel, Ruby Tuesday, Outback, Applebee's, McDonalds, Wendy's and Dairy queen, all within a short drive. The rooms were really clean and well maintained. I had a 2 queen suite that had a living area with a couch, chair, flat screen TV, a small sink, microwave and fridge. The bedroom had 2 beds, another TV, dresser, and desk. Bathroom was nothing exceptional but it did have a lot of sink space. The housekeeping staff did very well with the daily cleaning. As far as cons for the hotel, I would say the elevators and the front desk staff. The elevators here are extremely slow. If you check out on a busy day you might be waiting a while on the elevators. The front desk staff was helpful and check in was fast but not very friendly. At most Holiday Inn's the front desk staff will say "hello" or ask how your stay is going but at this one everybody seemed to busy talking on the phone or playing on the computer. « less

We stumbled upon the Holiday Inn in Beckley, WV on our way to Myrtle Beach a few years ago and now it's our prefered place to stay when we go south every year. The hotel is immaculate and well kept. The staff are friendly in that way that let's you know you are finally in The South. The addition of a free breakfast option has only heightened our opinion of this hotel. We couldn't ask for a better place to rest after a long day on the road. Highly recommended for every type of traveller. « less
