The overalll look of the hotel is stunning and the rooftop restaurant was nice. However, We had heard quite good reviews about this hotel, and they did not live up to the expectations. When we got there, we were not informed about breakfast times, where the pool was or what the hotel had to offer, we weren't even told that we had to hand in our room key so our room wasn't cleaned the first day. We also thought our room was quite basic considering it was a deluxe room! However the beds were comfortable. The balcony was very small. The pool was also very small and dirty. Breakfast was very strange, with the option of pizza and potato chips. The final morming we spent in the hotel was the worst as there was a fire in the kitchen of the hotel, and we were not even informed by the hotel staff to leave the premises, in fact we were the the last people to know about it, even when there was smoke in all the halls. I would not recommend. « less

I lived in Umaid Mahal for three nights during my visit to jaipur this may. It was very comfortable & economical place to stay in Jaipur for mid-budget travelers. At times it may seem little expensive but certainly it doesn't disappoint due to its quality of service. I would recommend this place for the people who look for a budget hotel with star services. « less

Nice, clean and very well maintained heritage hotel. Every detail of interior is taken care of, atmosphere of an ancient havelly and good and quick service at the same time. Food was amazing, except breakfast which was complete disappointment. I have never had worse breakfast in my life... Also I liked the way they worshiped Gods every morning and evening... gives a nice feel. « less

Firstly, some of the facilities in this hotel are a little dated but they are more than made up for by the decor and charm of the hotel. The front of the hotel looks amazing and the theme is continued all the way through the hotel which made it a pleasure to stay in. The room was lovely although the air conditioning was not great and pretty loud. Beds and facilities were good. Complimentary breakfast was one of the better ones we had in India given the relatively cheap price we paid for the hotel. One negative would be that the hotel was undertaking some work with a very loud truck outside the hotel room at 10.30pm which kept us up. Overall a good hotel with bags of charm at a reasonable price. Recommended. « less
