While relocating to the Dayton Ohio area, I stayed at this hotel for three months. The price was very reasonable ($900 for a month's stay). The hotel is clean and neatly decorated. That's all I can say that's good about the place. There are serious problems here with some of the staff though. During the first week of my stay here, the second shift front desk clerk had her boyfriend visit each night. During these "visits" he would leave his car stereo blasting loud so that this noise could be heard even on the third floor. He usually came by after 9pm. I complained twice to her to no avail. I then had to threaten her with reporting the situation to the management. After this, and because there is a 'clique' of young women working here, some of the staff started to retaliate. Example, a piece of mail was withheld from me for 10 days, even though I would ask for mail, etc. During a one week period I received at least 6 packages containing items I ordered online. I would track the delivery status of each one online. One particular package that was delivered to me was given to a UPS delivery driver the same day it arrived. This staff told me that I left the packaged for five days downstairs, when I had just been at the lobby the day before to collect another package! On another occasion, I was 'yelled' at by the head housekeeper in the lobby in front of other guests causing me a great deal of humiliation. Another time, as I was approaching the handicapped exit, I passed the laundry room when I overheard the front desk clerk say to a housekeeper, "I hate coming to this f**king place". To sum up, some people on the staff of this hotel make a stay here poisonous. « less

I stayed there on a long term basis for as almost a year. If you stay for more than a month and pay in advance, the room cost comes to about $900 a month, which is about $30 a day. Not bad for a room with a stove (electric) and a large fridge. For that price, what does one get? A reasonably clean place. I did not encounter any bed-bugs that another reviewer seems to have encountered. The linen was changed once a week and towels and trash were taken care of twice a week. The decor of the hotel is a little dated with dark green carpeting in the halls. Maintenance was hit and miss. I needed a plumber to unblock the toilet bowl and he was in the hospital and the hotel did not have a back up. They did give me a plunger though! There was one security incident at the hotel in the year I stayed there. Someone held up the front desk and got away with some money. The hotel management might want to look into installing a panic button for the front desk clerks to use in such situations. Overall, it was OK for the price I was paying. It certainly is no luxury hotel. As for bed bugs, in NYC even luxury hotels have not escaped the menace. The walls are certainly thin and for a few days I had someone in the adjoining room and could hear their music and tv all the time. Fortunately they did not stay there long. « less

Pleasantly surprised! after reading the bad reports on this place,we tried it anyway. NO BUGS of any kind. Website pictures of the rooms/kitchenettes are accurate. Love having the kitchenette. Room is much much bigger than we expected. Still a basic mattress & bed, etc. There is no DAILY change of towels, but you can easily go to the desk to get more. We got extra pillows with absolutely no problem. Cupboards have dishes, pots & pans, etc. We have stayed 2 times since then with good results. Much more quiet than a standard hotel in my opinion. There is no big lobby for hanging out, but we do not need that. Good mix of businessmen, truckers, families, couples. Staff was very helpful with everything. « less
