I have nothing to complain about this place. It is one of the very few hotels that have 3 beds to sleep 6 people! The room was clean, looked newly renovated, the person at the desk was friendly, shuttle came right on time, Avis was right across the street for our car return and we had no issues with the area of town. Yes, the planes were close and loud but it slows down over night and none of us noticed it once we turned on the air conditioner. The kids thought it was fantastic watching the planes land. Burger King was just down the street and the shuttle literally took 5 minutes to get to the airport. « less

The Super 8 is located minutes from the LAX airport in a so so part of town. It is also directly across from the Avis Rental Car (allowing me to save a day of rental rate by dropping it off and walking across the street).
The room was ready when i arrived and it was a basic motel room. It was good sized with a king size bed and a small couch. Room was clean as was the bathroom. The shower was on the small size but not unmanageable.
Free continental breakfast was available but certainly nothing to write home about - toast, waffles and 2 choices of cereal.
Shuttle runs every 30 minutes and the driver was courteous and helpful. Helped me with my luggage. It was less than 10 minutes to the airport in morning rush hour.
The potential negative of the location is that you are directly under the flight path so you can hear the planes quite well! however - most planes stop flying by 10pm or so and i had no trouble falling/staying asleep.
In short -this is a basic inexpensive motel in a good location for a morning LAX flight. « less
