The Grande Colonial is a Four Diamond independent boutique hotel and a member of Historic Hotels of America, a Preferred Hotel Group. We completed a $4 million historic restoration project of the adjacent Little Hotel by the Sea and Garden Terraces, adding 18 new luxurious suites to the hotel’s existing 75-room inventory. Each of the suites feature full kitchens or kitchenettes, LCD high definition Televisions, and many with fireplaces. Additionally, the Grande Colonial invested $4 million in the guest room renovation of the main hotel in June 2008. Guests may enjoy amazing ocean views from their guestrooms! The new sophisticated look combined with the upgraded new amenities adds to the evolving Grande Colonial La Jolla; all while maintaining the warm, genuinely friendly service our guests have come to expect.
Our versatile 5,000 square feet of meeting and private dining space is divided between unique rooms each beautifully lit with natural lighting, offering amazing ocean and garden views. Our restaurant, NINE-TEN, is one of La Jolla’s prime locations for special events and private dining experiences, and was named “Best Restaurant” in La Jolla in 2010!
