This has been a hotel our family has used for at least 25 years. It has gone through at least one renovation during that period and could surely use an other. The staff is very nice and many have been with the hotel for years. They try to accomodate the guests. It is conveniently located for the family functions we attend when in the Baltimore area and has some wonderful shops right on the premises/complex. However, there was a time the stores catered to a higher end customer. There were many ladies specialtiy shops and a splendid shop which sold estate peices. We would love to see it brought back to its past quality. « less

Stayed here one night with my family. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and professional. Helped me switch to a room with two beds instead of one. Lobby looked a little dated and so did the room. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. I think the property is going thru a renovation so it might not be an accurate statement if it will become newer looking soon. But, overall no problems, good nights sleep, etc. Priced similar to other hotels in the area. « less

Rooms are clean, beds very comfortable, atmosphere quiet and safe, staff always helpful. Best part for our purposes is the parking, which is accessible by elevator, obviating the need for valet. And it's free. Would have appreciated a refrigerator in the room, but I did not specify. Breakfasts are very good, which raises the question--why not dinners? Crossroads Cafe is moved to lobby area when hotel is not full. It is too open and public, but ok for a snack. « less

I have booked this hotel through Priceline; they called me two days before the trip to tell that the hotel is overbooked and would not honor my reservations (which was fully paid for). They made it sound as if overbooking was like a tsunami they have absolutely no control for. They offered to book me in another hotel, but it was almost 10 mile north further from the convention center I would have to go to every day and I was not planning to rent a car. I refused and spent another couple of hours on hold with Priceline to cancel my reservation. Priceline did not offer anything either but at least they apologized. Ouch! « less

Pros:This was our first time staying here and we thought it was wonderful. We liked the country location, large rooms and the decor was very nice as well as the well kept rooms. The speed number beds were a comfort to sleep in once we found our numbers. The staff was very helpful, the parking and local shopping was excellent, when I say local, I mean right under your noses, very nice. There is plently of room to raom around the area safely. We loved the safe parking with the elevator right there to take you up to your rooms. Very close to places we wanted to go, visit family, down town harbor etc.. We will definitely be returning in th near future. Cons: Seasonal air and heating system. The staff accommodated with us with a space heater which was very nice. « less
