I debated giving the property a 4, as it is a bit of an older property and perhaps could use some updating, but then thought to myself - why? It's got everything you need, the people are friendly, and the rooms are still in great condition. The room setup was fantastic (much like you would expect a 1 bedroom apartment to be designed), and it was very convenient when we had family visit us in the room. The living space is fairly large, with plenty of seating, the kitchen is very functional, and I love the way the bedroom and bathroom were separated from that front space (the bedroom was also quite spacious by the way). I slept great, and the breakfast was really wonderful. Would you feel a little more excited if you walked in and saw brand new cupboards and fixtures, etc? I imagine so, but things were clean and well taken care of, and we had a great stay! « less

Homewood Suites provided us with all of the comforts of home. The suites are spacious and have all of the amenities of home (kitchen area, living room, 2 TV's etc.) for a very reasonable price. The hotel breakfast and dinner area is spacious and attractive and centers arond a beautiful stone gas fireplace. We felt quite "at home" and will seek out these accommodations in the future. « less

Spent 3 nights in the Homewood Suites located @ Overland Park in Kansas and it was everything that one would expect. The room (2 queen suite) was spacious with full kitchen, living area and separate bedroom and bathroom. Beds were comfortable and 5 pillows on each one was more than enough. there is a DVD player in the living area and hotel provides free movies in the lobby to take to the room.
Each night in the lobby there was an evening reception with complimentary beer/wine and dinner which the menu is posted on your fridge in the room so you can decide to eat in or go dine out. Food was very good! Morning was a complimentary breakfast with usually scrambled eggs/sausage and also continental style as well. Very good selection.
Pool was still closed for the season but its location on the outdoor patio would be perfect had the weather been warmer. Business center was convenient. Staff very friendly..

On the plus side, we had a good size suite with a comfortable bed in a quiet location. The negatives include a seemingly unfriendly worker at the front desk upon our arrival, and our room was in much need of updating. The breakfast selection was excellent, though the "hot" foods were barely warm. Overall, it was okay. But why settle for okay? With so many choices available in the area, I probably wouldn't stay here again. « less
