At the Rio, we have chosen to reach beyond our bricks and mortar and develop an experience that first and foremost keeps your meeting objectives in mind. There are many ways that we have accomplished this, one of which is the way that we have aligned our organizational structure so that everyone in sales, catering, convention services and banquets reports to the same individual. So, after you book your event with us and you move beyond sales into convention services and banquets you will find that all of the people you work with understand your importance to our business and most importantly understand your meeting objectives.
For meetings of 10 to more than 3000, the conference space at the Rio provides functionality and flexibility. With more than 160,000 square feet of meeting space and more than 200 meeting room combinations, the space at the Rio meets the needs of even the most discriminating meeting planner. Every detail has been thought of, from permanent registration counters, built-in Broadway style stages to drop down lighting grids for easy hanging of décor. A full-service business center, décor and entertainment team and audio/visual department is at your service to insure the success of your conference.
Every guest accommodation at the Rio is a suite. Each suite is appointed with amenities specifically geared toward the business traveler such as: iron/boards, refrigerators, mini-bars, high-speed internet and work areas.
With the combination of great meeting space, fantastic suites, world-class dining and fabulous entertainment the Rio is “the place” for your next meeting.

The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino has been a favorite Vegas spot of mine for a while. Because it is located off the strip, the rooms are more reasonably priced AND each room is a suite that includes a full sized couch and small refrigerator (amenities you don't normally get in other hotels)! What I like best about this hotel are the FREE shuttle services to various hotels on the strip. The shuttles run about every 30 minutes and take you to different hotels located on the strip. We rode the shuttle to Bally's which is within close walking distance to hotels like Paris, Cesar's Palace, Bellagio and the Cosmopolitan to name a few. One of the greatest features of this hotel is the Carnival buffet. It's a monstrosity of a buffet that provides a wide variety of food. Generally, the staff is quite friendly and helpful. Dealers are polite and patient (which I was grateful for since I was making some serious rookie faux pas at the roulette table)! I stayed with family and, overall, we enjoyed our time here. If you've never stayed at the Rio, I would recommend it at least once. « less

My husband and I live in the area and often get comps at the Harrah's resorts in the Las Vegas and Laughlin area. We had never taken advantage of an offer at the Rio, so we decided to spend the night in one of their "suite" rooms since we wanted to go downtown for their all seafood buffet (we live up in Anthem in Henderson about 30 minutes away). The staff was very friendly and helpful here. The seafood buffet is absolutely fabulous, but that was about it. It kind of went downhill from there.
The check-in process was horribly long. There must have been 20-25 people ahead of me, and it took a long time even though they had several employees working the check-in desk. We didn't even arrive at a peak check-in time. The room is supposed to be a "suite" -- it is fairly large for a hotel room, but it's nothing all that special. The bed was quite comfortable, but the pillows were like rocks. There was a coffee maker, but no coffee, a mini-bar, but it was empty as they were "in the process of recreating their mini-bar and coffee experience....(There is a Starbucks on the main casino level, but again the line is always about 25-30 customers long.) About the only thing that was in the room that was supposed to be there was the refrigerator and the television. They also charge $13.95 a day for Wi-Fi which seems a bit steep. In its favor, the room was very clean, mostly quiet and had a decent view.
As for the casino, we have played at many places around Vegas and in Henderson, and this place must have the worst odds of any casino in the area. We do much better at other Harrah's properties such as Paris (which is MUCH nicer). We will definitely go back for the seafood buffet, and for The Rat Pack show, but never to stay.
If you are visiting the area and plan to stay here, be aware that this resort is a bit off the main strip. The resort offers a shuttle to the strip since it is not within reasonable walking distance.
Again, the staff was very cordial, I just can't rate this any higher than a three given the "nothing special" quality of the hotel part of it, and the fact that so many of the room amenities were not available as they were supposed to be. « less

I used to really enjoy the Rio but it seems with the Show in the Sky being closed it loses something. the machines seem tighter than ever and if you are attending a conference there, prepare for a long long walk. Also, it's off-strip so that's a bit of a walk also, though certainly doable. I did enjoy the Penn and Teller show and the rooms are quite nice. It seems like all the restaurants are a bit pricey but such is Vegas these days. I would certainly stay there again, but it would be first on my list unless it was discounted. I did visit the luxury suite at the very top, huge rooms, pool, fire place, bar, etc. This was probably the nicest room I've been in, in any hotel but, this was one the average person could afford. « less

We arrived 5/12/13 for two nights. The room was clean and large and it was in need of an update. We were offered an updated room for a price but choose not to we were in Vegas to party not stay in our room. We had a Keurig coffee maker in the room but the mini bar was out of order so no coffee in the room. We bought the little pods in the convince store for .99 each. Well worth the effort to have morning coffee with out getting dressed and going out. The bed was very comfy. The room was quite and with the curtains drawn dark so we slept very well We went to the pool and it was clean but the sandy pool was closed and we were told it was cause the sand needed to be refreshed. Say What????? Anyway the cocktail servers at the pool were polite but with only two for everyone we did not get our $27 a piece weak drinks refilled. I guess to be honest the refill was $18 so we probably would not have done it even if asked. The casino was nice and well laid out. $5 blackjack and crap's!!! No issues with the cocktail servers. I loved the outfits! they were a little more than a bikini with sparkles. The show in the sky has been closed for good. I never got to see it. :( Everyone from the Front desk clerk to the cleaning staff were very polite and willing to help if asked. You can walk to the strip if you want but they have a shuttle that takes you to Harrah's. Here is my tip.... Gold Coast is right next store and the buffet there is cheap and tasty.. « less

Rooms are great and spacious, Pool is nice, and rest of the hotel is average to nice. This hotel's location is a drawback, being off the strip. We spent some in cab money when we didn't want to wait for the shuttle. In a town of excess and overindulgence, this hotel fails to stand out against the others. But an overall good stay. « less
