I wanted to give you some feedback on my group’s stay at the Jameson Inn. While the check in went smoothly, the quality of service afterwards was not. In two of the rooms, it was apparent that the housekeeping staff had not serviced properly. The bed linen had not been changed, specifically Room 303. The sheets on the beds were stained. There were weeds growing out of the wall in one corner of the room. When the issue with the bed linen was brought to the attention of the staff, they promised to have it corrected by the time the group returned to the hotel on Saturday evening. That was not done and when it was reported to the night desk clerk, she suggested that the guest in that room come to the office to pick up new linen. There was no offer of the housekeeping staff to service the room. The guests were so out done they then contacted me. I first viewed the room and then called the front desk myself and was advised that there was no one available to service the room, but if I wanted to come to the office and get the new linen I could, since there was no one there to relieve the night desk clerk. To satisfy my guest, so they could get to bed as well as myself, I went to the office, obtained the bedding and changed the bedding in the room myself. I do not feel that I should be charged for the stay in that room, which I expressed to the night desk clerk, who also was still on duty when my group checked out on Sunday morning. The young lady on the desk stated when I asked for a number to reach the General Manager on Saturday night, that the only way I could reach her was via email. That was just unacceptable. She also stated when I was checking out the group on Sunday morning that the bus driver's room, which was to have been comped, had not been comped and was included in the final billing. I then learned the final billing had been processed on the arrival date of July 11, 2014 and not on the checkout date. I have never had a hotel process the final billing prior to check out. Needless to say my group was very dissatisfied with their stay at the Jameson Inn. I realize the Manager had stated they were doing renovations, but that was no excuse for the poor quality of the service that was rendered.
