We booked with a San Antonio visitors discount, I thought I was booking this property but discovered upon arrival the reservation was at the sister property next door. Nick at the front desk asked if we wanted to stay here. YES! He arranged for us to stay in this near-perfect property at the same rate we were quoted for the Inn and Suites. Nick was especially kind and accommodating. All the staff were helpful and professional. The room was great for us. It was absolutely clean and comfortable. We also liked the location away from the hub-bub downtown. This is definitely the type of hotel we look for in our travels! « less

We stayed for a family weekend and had 3 rooms on the 8th floor: mostly adults plus two kids. Can't say enough about this place! All 3 rooms were quiet, spacious, and clean. Only time we heard noise was from above one of the rooms when guests with kids were returning late one night, but it was fairly short lived and the rest of our stay was quiet and enjoyable. The beds and pillows were all comfy. A great night's rest made for a more pleasant time at Seaworld the next day. Seaworld is about 20-25 minutes drive, and the Riverwalk area downtown is about 20 min without traffic. The breakfast was a full, hot buffet breakfast: delicious! The manager was walking around to tables just to say hi and see if he could help get anything for folks. Wow! The 5:30-7 pm "kick back" had hot dogs, salad, meatballs and pasta, etc. plus beverages, all included in your stay. The entire staff was so friendly and helpful! There is a covered parking garage that can only be accessed by your room card, and it felt safe and easy to get to via elevator. We would definitely return next time we are in town! « less

After reserving a stay at a $300+ a night resort, and then learning there was a $30 or so daily "resort fee" I cancelled out and hunted for a good hotel that did not try to suprise you or hit you with surprise fees. The Trip Advisor review of this one looked good but I was not sure. We decided to give it a try. Rest assured all the good things you read are true. The rooms are reasonably priced, large, new, clean and comfortable. There were no surprise fees and the free covered parking was something you don't see often. Our room had a whirlpool tub which my wife really liked. The breakfast was good and varied. The kick back time in the evening included snacks (which some make into supper). I enjoyed the salads and the chicken tenders in the evening. It also comes with three mixed drinks or beer per person each evening. We were pleased to be greeted at breakfast by the General Manager. We visited for some time and he mentioned to us that the hotel would be full the next day with high school students on a tour. He mentioned that since the breakfast area would be full and easier for us if we arrived at an earlier hour - which we did. The large group of students arrived and it was crowded. However, we did fine following the advice from the GM and desipe our fears of a loud night, the students were warned to keep the noise down - which apparently they did since we did not hear them and slept well. This hotel is a hidden gem. The prices are reasonable. The rooms are new clean and large. The kick back hour, and the hot breakfast is good. No surprise fees, no parking fees, no unwanted surprises other than city traffic at rush hour - which is not a hotel issue! We did note that they do not change linens every day unless requested. We saw the room cleaning people twice in our several day stay. One more note. We needed an extra blanket for our room. I called the front desk expecting to be told there were no extras - or come down and get one. Instead, they said yes sir one will be right up. And within 10 minutes the hotel staff delivered the blanket to our room. I should note that our GPS did not locate the hotel well due to recent highway improvements. It is wise to call ahead and get directions if you are a first time arrival. This was our first stay ever at a Drury Hotel. We have been won over and will be using Drury often in our travels. Congratulations to the friendly General Manager of this hotel for an outstanding experience when we stayed at his hotel. « less

First time at a Drury Plaza Hotel - This one is only 2 years old- really nice decor- very clean- helpful staff , computer area in lobby , terraces to sit out on in good weather This is about 10-15 minutes from downtown and we really ended up liking that- attached to a nice neighborhood- safe - clean- some good resturaunts. Beds were very comfortable-linens were nice The minuses -the breakfast in the morning is not really very good and the shampoo, conditioner and soap were in dispensers on the walls in the shower and the products were not terrific.. for such a nice hotel they need to change that Yes I would recommend this hotel « less

This place simply stunned me. Top to bottom this place has it all.
Immaculately maintained property. Very spacious lobby. Great and well lit parking.
The room was immaculate, well appointed and left me wanting for nothing more. It is not often that you can find a clean room with all the little niceties of home. Fridge, safe, and plenty of clean towels. The bed was super comfortable, the linen was crisp and clean and pillows were like sleeping on a cloud.
Small details: The remote did not need a new battery, the TV listing was right in front of the TV, the internet was fast and free and most of all the carpet in the room was spotless. The breakfast was excellent and free.
All in all, this place is the only hotel that I will ever stay in San Antonio again. « less
