Eurostars Zarzuela Park, a hotel comprising three buildings in English style, placed around a large garden with a swimming pool and paddle-tennis courts, where you can enjoy the silence and tranquility of the large expanses of green that surround us.
Here, one can easily be distracted from the noise, the cement and the stress and enter a scenario of peace and quiet, with relaxing views of the city and the mountains.
The Eurostars Zarzuela Park, situated between Madrid and Aravaca, is located very near the Zarzuela Horse Racetrack, the Real Club Puerta de Hierro golf club and the Spanish Golf Federation?s National Centre. Also in the vicinity is Zarzuela Palace, the residence of Spanish royalty.
On the other hand, by bus or car we are 10 minutes from Moncloa and the university campus, from where one can take the metro to any point in Madrid.
Our hotel also offers you unbeatable access from the M-40 and the A-6 Corunna-Madrid motorways.

We arrived feeling rather stressed as the hotel was quite difficult to find. As we approached reception we were greeted by a rather miserable young girl who checked us in and we went up to our room. The room we had originally been given absolutely stank of smoke! The whole hotel is meant to be non smoking so we were a little bemused. I rang reception and explained that I didn't want to stay in the room because of the smell and was told we would have to come back down to reception to change room. This rather inconveniently was from the top floor and we had a lot of luggage. We were then served by a different gentleman at reception who was even more miserable, except this time was rather sarcastic and rude! We asked how it was possible that the room smelt so strongly of smoke with it being a non smoking hotel- and he responded that the previous guest enjoyed a cigar and probably just smoked out of the window. He then handed us the key for a room two doors down from the first one we had been given and said, oh, should have told you to leave your bags upstairs. It was said in such a smug manner as he watched us struggle with all our bags! The room itself was clean, well sized with a nice en suite. Nothing to write home about, but also nothing to complain about. The breakfast was pretty much a shambles. We arrived at 8.30, and the breakfast didn't finish till 10.30- however there was hardly anything there. Most of the pastries had gone, no fruit, no meats- and the coffee machine had broken. The two members of staff were running round like headless chickens and it wasn't until we had been there for about 20 minutes that things were restocked. The hotels location is it's redeeming feature. Very simple to get into Madrid centre and took about 25 mins, bus and tube. The bus stop is literally outside the hotel door, so it couldn't be easier. For us this was a hotel for convenience sake, if it wasn't for the fact we had a car and wanted free parking- I doubt we would stay again. « less

Nice quiet location about 30 min taxi from the airport. Bit tricky to get in and out of Madrid from here but we weren't here for sightseeing. 3 good looking buildings overlooking the grounds and pool. Pool wasn't open as it was late Jan but it looked like it would be very nice in the summer.
Good English speaking staff. Hotel was virtually empty so staff were a bit thin on the ground but still managed to get a few beers and reasonable meal in the evening.
Rooms largish and pretty clean. Old fashioned CRT TV's (by today's standards anyway). Took my iPad to play a movie or two as I had a long wait in the hotel but couldn't plug it in. Free Wi-Fi was pretty good and fast though.
The overall experience was ok and the only point I would class as a negative was that the hotel corridors have those automatic air fresheners that pump out at a pre determined interval. To say that the smell was "overpowering" would be an understatement! Whoever set them up filled them with the strongest perfume ever and must have set the interval to every minute or something! I don't know if they have a problem with their drains that they were trying to cover up but I have smelt better in the service station lavatory!
Aside from this it was perfectly acceptable though, but not really a tourist hotel I think. « less

Lovely Hotel. We chose this Hotel because it was near to the Racecourse and it was perfect for our short stay. The Hotel is in 3 different buildings all 3 stories high. A bit like 3 different houses! The rooms are large enough and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a full bath and the hair dryer actually worked well. Yes there was only one chair, but that's normal. We had a ground floor room which had an enormous terrace. The buildings are close together but you do need to go outside from some rooms to get to the main building which has the bar and dining room. The public areas are clean and fresh and all the staff were super helpful and spoke very good English. We ate in the Restaurant on both evenings. We decided to sit in the bar area and although the menu was a little bit restricted the food was excellent and always served with a smile! The waiter helped me with my 'allergies', took advise from the chef, and I ended up with the perfect meal.Breakfast is what you expect in a Spanish Hotel, a cold option of fruit, meat and cake, normal bread selection and HOT bacon and egg; all help yourself. « less
