We had booked for a small room but were upgraded to a two roomed apartment. We couldn't believe our luck. It was really spacious and we had paid a very good price for what was supposed to be the smaller room. The owner and his wife were really friendly and couldn't do enough to help us. There was a good display board with the weather forecast and recommendations of things to do in Rotorua. Breakfast and newspapers were included in the cost too - amazing. The apartment was clean and well equipped. The only minus was that the electrical equipment (Apart from the TV) was pretty ancient but worked. The communal area had free computers and free bike hire and a TV with loads of channels- excellent and there was a kitchen with full cooker to use if we wanted it. The communal area was clean but in need of a refurb but overall you can't fault this place for value for money and if you are looking for a clean place with very reasonable rates and excellent service then this place is the one to go for. The motel was within 10-15 mins walk of the centre of Rotorua and the nearest restaurant was about 5 mins walk away. « less

Great little hotel for a few nights Rotorua!
We booked via Expedia after comparing lots of options, mainly choosing for budget but we really lucked in.
The owner was so friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough to help us settle in and see all the sights in Rotorua. We were on a tight schedule so had already done/booked most of our activities by the time we checked in but the hotel has special discount deals with lots of places like the Moari experience, rafting etc so it is worth waiting until you get here to book.
Plenty of safe and secure parking, rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. Being picky the bathroom was a little tired but still spotless. The room has a kitchenette with microwave and fridge etc so you could live independently for a couple of nights. Endless free wifi and good tv in the room ticked the technology boxes. Complementary continental breakfast was also an added bonus!
In summary, great value and highly recommended for a quick stop or a few days stay in Rotorua. « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"When people provide customer friendly service in today’s world, it should be applauded! So many businesses have taken almost and adversarial attitude towards the customer, in other words, they over compensate for a consumer not following through. As a business, it is my understanding, that the business should always follow through and do as they promise! Loyalty between consumers and businesses should remain alive, profit above service is a bad plan and will cost the business in the long run!" R.F. - Denver, CO
"I received about a dozen bids, all around the price I had indicated, with some significantly lower." L.D. - Kittery, ME
