We planned a last minute getaway and ended up at the courtyard Marriott. We were glad we upgraded to full ocean view. Everything met our expectations; beautiful beach & great service, helpful staff. Sally, the bartender at the Sirena's on the water, makes the best drinks! Salsa, one of the hotels restaurants, has a pretty uneventful menu, but we ordered from their specials & had an incredible Puerto Rican meal. It was a bit of a walk into town, but easily do-able & safe... plus, you really don't need to walk into town if you don't want to. Definitely catch a cab to Pinones to rent bikes for the day. A gorgeous boardwalk trail along the ocean & thru mangroves as well as plenty of local food & drinks roadside. « less

This was a very nice location on the beach. Room was cool and had a very comfortable king size bed. Hotel staff was extremely polite and friendly. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel for 2 meals, and the food was delicious, (a bit pricey-but normal for hotel food) we had taco salads for lunch and the breakfast buffet the following morning. Pool was lovely-plenty of loungers to be had.
We stayed there one night before catching our ship, and the location was very convenient to airport. We could see the runway by looking out the front window of our room.
The only complaint was that there was apparently a fire in the hotel that night-we were all evacuated into the parking lot to stand and wait-what seemed like a very long time-until the fire department came. Nobody from the hotel was there to take charge. Music was playing and people were dancing while we were all leaving the hotel. It seemed very odd, and dangerous to me. After an hour or so we went back inside to our rooms at 2 am when the fire department gave the all clear. It was a harrowing experience in the middle of the night. It made for a good story. « less

The rooms possibly need renovation & sprucing up. The Beach view was nice. I did feel that for the quality of accomodation, the hotel is overpriced. « less

My wife and I just got back from spending 7 days/6 nights at the Courtyard in Isle Verde. We stayed May 4-10th. Upon check-in the receptionist was great and gave us a room on the 7th floor (723). We were surprised with the great view of the ocean from our balcony. The beach and ocean at the resort were fabulous. Staff outside to bring you a beach chair, umbrella and little table if you want. The restuarants were pretty good and relatively reasonably priced. The Valet crew outside were amazing in giving us pointers on things to do and see. I read alot of reviews that talked about a Walgreens only a couple blocks away, this was true, but if you keep going there is so much more down the street. We found a Pizza Hut, Subway, KFC, Taco Bell, Churchs Chicken, Applebees and Outback all within walking distance. We ate at Brother Jimmy's BBQ (which is located on the 10th floor of the El San Juan Resort). The food there was great but the views overlooking the beach were priceless. I would highly recommend eating there! Everyone at the hotel was extremly helpful and made our trip great.
Ok now for the downfall of our trip. My wife and I are both filled with "sand flea" bites. The hotel offers OFF, however I would recommend buying your own bottle and keeping it close to you when you are on the beach. These little bites are no fun at all. The only other disappointment that we encountered with our trip is the one thing that the Courtyard could not control, that is the weather. It rained every afternoon of our trip, which made our days of laying out on the beach pretty short. « less
