My toilet seat and shower door were both in need of minor repair. Breakfast typical. not great. It is a good value for the NYC area « less

I arrive at the hotel quiet early, after a horrible night at another hotel. The Customer Service agent welcome us, and offer us breakfast to go, because their breakfast was just closing. She mentioned that she was not sure she could check us in , but the took the time to check with the housekeeping Manager , who inspected a room and I allow me to have an early check-in. Every morning I came down for breakfast, I see the same pleasant agent, and although she was always very busy working alone she would still find the time to greet everyone as they would approach the desk. The hotel itself was wonderful, rooms are very inviting, breakfast is great, and that patio in the back TOPS IT OFF. I would definitely stay there again. « less

The desk staff were always extremely helpful. Just one example: on one occasion I ordered a food delivery from a nearby restaurant (many of those, which is a good thing) and when it arrived I realized that my wife had gone out with my credit card! Quite embarrassing. The front desk staff came to my rescue with a temporary bailout. I wish I could remember all their names - Thomie and Liz and everyone else. Wonderful people.
The location is very good for Yonkers. If you're going to spend a lot of time in downtown Manhattan, it's a much longer journey. You could use the hotel shuttle to get to Yonkers Station (10-15 mins) and then get a Metro North ($15) train to Grand Central. Or you could get a #2 bus from the hotel to the 242 St subway stop (c. 30 mins). I highly recommend this hotel if you are doing business or holidaying in Yonkers or the Bronx area. If you are not pressed for time it's also an acceptable location to access Manhattan. « less

I've always appreciated this chain for its reasonable prices, updated decor and accommodations and breakfast. This particular location seems very new and is located, though a couple of miles out of the way - in a quiet location near a business park. The staff was very helpful in directing us to the Ridge Hill Mall - and my daughter was happy that our visit suddenly included a stop at H&M and we enjoyed some smaller boutiques and a nice dinner. The lobby, bar and breakfast area was very nice, and the complimentary breakfast - a little bit nicer that others I've had before. « less
