We stayed in this hotel just for one night. Everything in the room was old and poor but we didn't need much - hot water, fan and bed). The working staff is friendly. But the place where the hotel situated is not safe (as the driver of taxi told us) so be careful. P.S. stayed in Feb 2013 « less

We stayed at NEW SOLANIE HOTEL 1811 Leon Guinto St,Manila for 3 weeks Sept 3 to 25 2012 had bad experience the aircon isn't good the cover is falling out ,leakage from roof when raining ,stinky bed foam that smells like dead animal ,moldy bed and my boyfriend get sick and called health department and sanitary department at manila city hall to complain about the nasty room with cockroach crawling underneath bed ,we got bug bite when we wake up in the morning ...can't sleep good coz cars and jeepneys keep honking all night very noisy that distract our rest at night...the front of hotel is flooded when it rainy...we didn't enjoy our stay coz even the shower will shock you and the owner of the ! There are lots of nice and better hotels in Manila whre you can choose a better place you deserve and comfortable to stay.. we don't like to buy room in this solanie hotel anymore.. « less

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Before I left I called the health department on this place! The bed smelled as if a dead animal was in it, the ceiling leaked, the wall was falling apart, the shower would shock you, what more of a vacation would you like to hear? How about the staff? they made every excuse as to why it wasnt their fault and how I was a 'fragile tourist", when i showed them a few dead cockroaches that I never complained about, then it was more excuses. I am 34 years old and i've been a hard core party guy for more then half my life!!! c thats what happened to me and I called the health dept. on them before I left, I never got a follow up call or email so i come to the conclusion that nobody did anything, the owner is more concearned with his gay bar downstairs that I also didnt know about, the drag queens stay up yelling till 3-4am thurs-sunday night, and you cant sleep thru it or the busy street that this place is located on, constantly honking their horns from 4-5am on, trust me, you can find a better value for your money! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!! « less

Stayed here a few months ago and while it was ok, there are many better places in Malate. I booked via Agoda and got a reasonable rate. The staff were friendly and the room was a decent size. What I didn't like was the noise from the next room. There was a door between my room and theirs and the soundproofing was hopeless. Also the mattress was horrible with disgusting stains. It's also quite a long walk to Robinsons and the Malate area. « less
