Only quibble: not enough drawers for clothing, but lots of extra hangers provided. Staff friendly, efficient, helpful. Baumhower's restaurant next door has excellent fresh food. Hotel breakfast very good--no cooked to order eggs, but otherwise completely satisfactory. Cookies and milk in the evenings creative lagniappe. Highly recommended. « less

I booked this hotel at the last minute for a college visit down to the University. We walked in and was immediately impressed with the renovations. The traveler pictures you see on here do not do it justice - actually some of them are outdated because the lobby looks totally different. Very clean, modern and inviting. Leather couches and chairs all around. Check-in was very easy and we went straight to our room. Someone said the beds were made from chiseled concrete but I don't agree with that at all. Our beds were very comfortable, plush and we both slept like rocks. Great color schemes throughout the hotel. Mini fridge and microwave were already in the room which was an added bonus. My son LOVED the breakfast the next morning - eggs, ham, potatoes, bagels, fruit and yogurt. That was just what he ate but there was plenty to choose from. We went next door to the sports bar for dinner that night and had great sandwiches. Clint was our waiter and he was friendly, attentive and very helpful about the area. Great guy! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the University - it's literally 2 to 3 minutes from campus. I would definitely stay here again if we were ever in the area.
