Stayed here with some about a dozen on a golf trip during Bike Week. Location was great and rooms were clean. Property has 6 buildings each of which appeared to have a pool of which some were heated and inside pools including a lazy river. Property also has a Starbucks, Ben and Jerry's, pizza place, wine store and bar, Group had complementary breakfast which I believe is a part of their golf package. Hotel seems to be close to all major roads in and around Myrtle Beach and some of the major attractions like Broadway on the Beach. My unit included two double beads, stove, fridge and coffee pot. Maid service was daily.

We stayed at the Breakers, in the Paradise Tower, for ten days in April and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We booked a three-bedroom condo since we were traveling with several other members of our family. With five children and four adults the room was plenty big enough with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a full kitchen. In addition, the washer and dryer (albeit small) were a great asset since we could pack lightly and didn't come home with suitcases full of dirty clothes.
Location: The resort itself is located right on the beach and is centrally located to everything you would want to do while in Myrtle Beach. We were a quick 5 minute drive to Broadway at the Beach for dining and entertainment, and a ten-minute stroll along the beach to the Pier for fishing or walking the boardwalk. There were restaurants within walking distance and the resort itself has an on-site restaurant (Parrot Café) with nightly happy hour drink and appetizer specials. It also had entertainment several nights a week (karaoke, musicians, etc.) The food was adequate if not stellar but was reasonably priced. They also have a second restaurant across the street but we never went there since it was a breakfast restaurant in the morning (which we cooked in the condo each day) and then served dinner at night but we generally hit the happy hour at their Parrot Café or went to Broadway at the Beach for more options.
Amenities: The resort had many water features. The lazy river was very warm and you could stay inside or venture outside on the tubes depending on the weather. There were also several heated indoor pools and hot tubs. Many of the outdoor water features (including the pirate's ship) were not heated and were VERY cold in April. Be sure to bring your own beach towels or plan on purchasing some upon arrival as the towels in the pool areas are paltry. Super small and thin - they wouldn't cover my two-year-old. We used the onsite golf reservations, which were great. We played several rounds for approximately $50 each and that included two beers and lunch after, which we thought was very reasonable. We also used the onsite ticket counter. It wasn't a huge savings financially but it was nice not to have to wait in line once we got to the venue.
Housekeeping: Our condo was neat and tidy when we arrived. Whoever decided on furniture made a very bad choice when selecting pale yellow armchairs. They were stained and really rather disgusting looking even if they had been cleaned. Otherwise the carpets, floors and bedding all seemed to be in decent shape. Housekeeping could have done a bit better job during our stay with regard to vacuuming since sand from the beach got tracked into the condo but thankfully the hallway was huge and gave us a place to store beach toys and chairs out of the way to limit the tracking as much as possible.
The only drawbacks were 1) parking was across the road (although this seems to be the norm for all hotels in the area) and 2) the "tiki" bar was not as much of a tiki bar as we had hoped. It was inside (although they could open the floor to ceiling windows) and not poolside which made it a bit more difficult to keep an eye on the kids while enjoying an adult beverage. Be sure you are aware of which building you are in. They have a "north tower" which is up the road and not where all of the fun water features are. It would probably be great for couples but not ideal for families wanting swimming pools and the like.
All-in-all I would recommend this resort and would happily return again. April can be a tricky time of year to visit weather-wise but it turned out to be perfect for us. The weather was great and because it wasn't peak season we had no problem doing all of the things we wanted without lines. Even dining out with a group of 9 wasn't an issue. Myrtle Beach has something for everyone - I would love to go back. « less

We stayed here May 5th-11th, in the sailfish tower. It was a great vacation. The room was very clean. The location great! We could walk to a lot of different attraction, restaurants & stores. Someone on a previous post said the pool, lazy river & hot tubs at the main bldg were gross, with bugs in the pool. We went to the pool just about everyday and I never seen anything besides a beetle once. But, the lazy river is inside and outside so that's expected. The parking garage is located across the street, but the sailfish bldg has about 10 spaces right out front and we were able to get a spot there most of the time. Our only tiny problem was that the air conditioner in the master bedroom did not work so well, while the 2nd bedroom it worked too good. Not a big problem though.. Loved the breakers and will be back! « less

Our most recent stay here was May 5-11th of this year. This time we were in the Paradise tower (the newest section of the hotel). OF room was very clean and perfect for our needs. We had absolutely no problems with this room, and the staff, as always was friendly, courteous, and helpful! We have been coming here for 7 years in a row, and even if we have had problems with rooms or anything, the staff quickly and courteously resolved any problems or gave us another room. Have never had a bad experience at the main resort or the North Tower Boutique! Mostly stay at the main resort now because we have a 5 year-old that enjoys the kids attractions there. Whether you go for a few days or a whole week, the prices and specials are very competitive with other hotels at MB, and I think that you will enjoy your stay! « less

I enjoyed staying at the Breakers hotel. We were recently there from May 10-12 for Mother's Day weekend. We stayed in the 27th Ave North location which is much more laid back (but not lax) than the main building of the resort. Parking was nice in the garage across the street (could usually find a spot on either the first of second floor) and the room was clean.
We had a one bedroom ocean front suite. It came with two queens in the bedroom, pull out couch, kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, and stove. All in all a good and spacious room. Our ocean view was great.
The reason why I rated this as three was for the disgusting pool at the main resort. While the location on 27 was clean and not crowded, the pool on 21st ave (indoor/outdoor lazy river and pool) were very nasty. They had cockroaches, beetles, and other palmetto bugs floating around in there. We got out of there and hopped in the Jacuzzi figuring that had to be cleaner but there was so much clorine in there that my eyes started burning. I wouldn't mind staying at the Breakers again but I will absolutely NOT stay at the 21st avenue location though it is more convenient to other attractions.
There was also free continental breakfast (pastries, cereal, and bagels and such). So that was nice.
I would stay here again per my modifications listed above. « less

We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the Breakers Boutique. Thank you for brining the cleanliness of our lazy river to our attention, and we have taken the necessary steps to prevent this from occurring again. We hope to see you again soon.
