Beautifully clean, bright bathroom, and large sunny double bedroom. We were late risers so found it a little noisy when the school next door started each morning. Only made it to breakfast on the last day, but enjoyed what I had. The location was very convenient for both the town center and the jogging trails on the east side. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Taxis to/ from Bruges station took about 10 minutes and cost 10 about 10 euros. Personally found the bed too soft, but would not hesitate to stay again on the same deal. « less

The chances are, if you're considering this hotel, you're looking at a short, cheap-ish, break to Bruges. And the good news is that this will tick the vast majority of your boxes.
It's close enough to the city centre for it to be a very pleasant five minute walk along the cobbled streets; it has a view across a meandering canal, and it's in a quiet part of town. Plus it comes complete with its own underground car park. Oh, and the staff all speak pretty perfect English.
What it's not, is a cap-doffing extravaganza of silver service and smartly uniformed staff. It's a practical, comfortable, and welcoming place which is an ideal base. If you want more, then there are plenty of places right in the very heart of the city which will happily extract many times the amount it will cost to stay here...
We stayed on a Saturday night at the end of April on a 'culinary tour' deal purchased through the hotel's own website (which is worth checking)...in short, we got a double room (with a glorious view over the canal from the third floor) and a three-course meal in the evening. Plus free car parking.
By the time we'd had a bottle of white wine with our meal, the total cost for two of us was a little over 150 euros for the stay - which was a decent deal. You get a buffet breakfast too - a decent array of pastries, cereals, bread products and cooked food - and the parking saves you shelling out 15 euros.
There's a comfortable bar area leading off the reception with very friendly staff, and two restauarants feed off it - one specialising in Japanese food, the other Italian. Both, however, didn't seem to be open during our visit.
Instead, we were served food on tables set up in the bar next to large, full, windows which overlook a pretty 'Japanese' courtyard.
The menu as part of our deal was surprisingly tasty - albeit rather limited.
The room was, in truth, a tad dated in decor - think late 1970s and you'll get a good idea, but the bed was comfortable, the bathroom modern and the whole place spotlessly clean.
Personally, as long as the welcome is warm and the accomodation clean and comfortable, I'm happy.
There was a gym and spa downstairs too, but I must admit I didn't point my snout in its direction.
You can also turn up early than the 3pm check-in and they'll look after your luggage for you giving you a bit of extra time to explore.
In short, don't hesitate to book here if you're looking at a good base to tour the city. « less

The hotel is in a very good location just a short walk to the main square. Our room was a very good size but could do with updating, the room was very warm with no opening windows and the aircon was not on or not working. The room was very clean, all the staff were very helpfull. Breakfast was good with lots to choose from. We had dinner in the Koto Japanese Restaurant the food was excellent as was our chef. « less

I stayed here with my wife, Our son and his girlfriend.
We used it predominately as a base to explore Bruges and for this it was perfect. It has a car park which is ideal as there is practically no parking in Bruges.
The cocktail bar was superb and the chap serving was very friendly.
This is an ideal quiet location and a good base to explore Bruges. It is about a 15 minute walk to the grand Place.
We didn't try the Japanese restaurant but it looked very nice.

We stayed in a lovely room overlooking the canal,it was cosy and warm which was a bonus as it was bitterly cold out side, the bathroom/shower was huge and lots of hot water.with plenty of towels. the T V was huge and easy to use with English channels, the 2 sofa chairs were very comfortable. The bed was so easy to sleep on ,so big and warm.Tea/coffee in room was another bonus and breakfast was available for a good length of time, breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and a cooked English type also with a choice of continental, coffee and tea plentiful. We had free coffee in the lounge every day which gave us chance to warm up before going out of an evening. Drinks at the bar were very reasonable for a hotel. An excellent hotel at a very good price ,yes it is dated in places but that just adds to its charm. « less
