Pros: * On site staff was exceptional !!! They were accomodating and offered assistance when they saw a need. * Location was easy and central. * Clean room * Renovation was "lipstick" - although very nice lipstick
Cons: * Water tasted unfiltered - Use bottled water for your in room coffee * 2nd floor room - you heard the rush of water every time 3rd floor room flushed or took a shower. * Room 216 door locking system broke. Although on site staff very helpful. It was not repaired during our stay and it required staff to let us into our room at every entery. * One night staff member on site with FULL building of customers. Made me feel that we were on our own if a building emergency occured.
Its not easy to corral group of pre teen boys especially when a pool is involved. The on site staff was always on top of all requests and always smiled. Thank you! « less

We stayed here 3 nights on our way to a move to Oregon. The staff is very friendly. And I love the new fresh look of the inside of the hotel. Breakfast was great, and well stocked. My only complaint is this: I had called a few days prior to getting there to make sure there was a pool ready for my kids. After being in a car for 16 hours over 2 days I knew they would need to blow off steam and pent up energy. I was told pool is great, indoors and ready to go. We get there the pool is freezing. Beyond cold. The kids had to play in hot tub. When I asked about it the front desk didn't know and had to get management who said the heater was broken, and had been for a week. This would have been good to know when I booked the room. Not. Awesome. « less

This was a great hotel. Recognized as a Priority Club member at check-in and upgraded to a suite for free. Rooms were very nice and modern. Easy to find off the interstate. My only less than great comment is on the breakfast. There was very little hot food available. I travel 250+ days a year almost exclusively with Holiday Inn Express. The breakfast food was not on par with most all others I've stayed at. I did hear trains every once in a while but it did not disturb my sleep. « less

This is the hotel we always stay when we travel to Hood River, Oregon. They go out of their way to make our stays very comfortable. The rooms are clean and we always feel a great relief to walk in their door after a long drive on our way to Hood River. The staff are so nice, treat our service dog royally and are very professional and kind to my Mother, who is 86 with a mobility problem. It is so nice to be able to make reservations knowing we will have a clean room to spend our time. It's a nice break on our way to Hood River. I love they have non-smoking rooms--they are very clean! I also enjoy the variety of pillows on each bed ranging from firm to soft. « less
