This hotel is really nice. It's clean and well laid out.
The reception staff were really pleasant and couldn't have been more helpful. They talked with a smile and answered any questions very patiently.
The room was excellent quality. We are a family of 4 and had an adjoining room for our 2 children. They had a ball in their own room and we were left with the security of knowing they were OK and the peace and quiet of our own room!
The room was really well cleaned, really well presented and had good quality bedding and furniture. The TV was a little disappointing. The bathroom was also very good with good space, a shower that worked really well and toileteries that were nice.
Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice - hot and cold. The service could have been slightly better around the tables but this is a minor detail. « less

It was a good experience overall, but disappointed that the wifi was not included in the price of the room when over 135 of us stayed for the conference and I did not want to sit in the lobby to access the internet, nor did I want to pay $10 a day to be able to use it in my room. Other than that...it was a fantastic stay!!! « less

My husband and I stayed here for two nights on a recent road trip. This hotel is about nineteen miles from downtown St. Louis. There was no problem with the check-in and we were assigned to a room on the eighth floor. We usually request a room away from the elevators and the ice machine. Even though this room was near both the elevators and the ice machine, we decided to give it a try since it was an upper level room which we did not request, but thought we might enjoy. We were told that if the location was not satisfactory, we would be given another room. The assigned room was very clean with a large tub/toilet area as well as a spacious dressing area. We were pleased with the room and the view, and it seemed to be very quiet.
We went out to dinner and returned a few hours later. The room was still quiet.......until the ice machine started. It was very loud for about five minutes and the wall vibrated. This noise along with a noisy group of people on the other side of us prompted us to request a new room. The gentleman at the front desk was very gracious and said that they have had some problems with the ice machine. He changed our room without hesitation. We were then assigned a room down the hall on the opposite side of the building. The room was quite a bit smaller than the room we just vacated. The tub/toilet area was very small as was the vanity area. We now had a view of the parking lot and a dirt lot. When we returned our original keys, we were asked if everything was okay. The room was just not as nice as the first and we stated that. In their defense, the Doubletree did offer us a free breakfast, but we had already prepaid our breakfasts. Next we were offered a free dinner, but we had just eaten dinner. The new room did not please us, and we somewhat felt as though we had been punished for a noisy ice machine and noisy neighbors. Later, I found a long, black hair in the bathroom and my husband found a used make-up brush in the room. Neither day did we get tea bags in the room nor did the room have a note tablet which would have been handy. The coffee was replenished, however. Our second night we had some very noise children across the hall and the noise did not stop until 11:30 PM.
I did use the fitness center which was really the Chesterfield Athletic Club. It was large and had an abundance of exercise machines many of which had TV's attached. Both days that we were there, I searched for headphones to use to watch and hear the TV. I never found any and had asked several people and even checked at the main desk of the fitness club. That was disappointing, although the fitness center was lovely.
Unless you are a gold or diamond member of Hilton Honors, you will have to pay to access the internet from your room. I had to go to the lobby to obtain this service. The hotel had many groups staying there during our stay, so I was unable to get a seat at the work table because it was full of teens. I had to sit in a chair which I did not mind, but no matter what I did, I could not log on to the net. Finally, I had to ask at the front desk and was told by the young lady there that this occasionally happens. I was given a code which worked perfectly and also worked in the room!!!
Breakfast was very good and well-worth the extra $11 that I paid for two of us. Omelets and eggs were made to order using eggs, egg substitute, or egg whites. Steel-cut oatmeal, fresh blueberries and blackberries were also offered as well as the usual selections.
We stayed at twelve establishments on this trip, and this room was the smallest we had - even smaller than an air force base that we used. Had we been given a room as nice as our first, my rating would have been higher!! « less

We live about a mile and a half from this hotel and had heard about it from friends. Unfortunately, we didn't get to go anywhere big for spring break so we decided to book a Friday night here. When I called for reservations I didn't know it at the time but first talked to Kim the manager. I told Kim what we wanted to do and she did a great job finding our family of five a suite that would fit us with a great price given that the hotel was almost full that night. I really appreciated the effort she put into finding us a great room. Kim seems like a very hands on manager and inquired how our stay was going whenever we saw her in the lobby. The room and common areas of the hotel were very nice. The look and feel was that of a nice hotel. Even better, though, is that the hotel is physically attached to an athletic/tennis club. That means they have a full indoor basketball court (they post the schedule so you know ahead of time when groups are coming to use it), racket ball courts with nets for wall ball (if they're not up ask and they'll set them up), ping pong table, weight/fitness room, indoor and outdoor pool and indoor and outdoor tennis courts. The sports was the best thing about it. The kids had a blast and we had fun playing with our kids. The only caveat is that the indoor tennis courts have a fee while the outdoor are free. It was pretty cold that weekend so we just stayed in the whole time and played basketball and wall ball. The kids also just had fun throwing a tennis ball around in the racketball courts. I'm sure we will be returning there again next winter when we get cabin fever. « less
