Yes this one is s little difficult to find but we enjoyed our stay here. We needed to be close to the university of Warwick and Coventry so we gave this one a try. The room was larger than we have had at other Holiday Inns and it was nicely done out with promised facilities. It was quiet and so the buffet breakfast bar was not on which meant food was cooked to order but that was ok. We would try use this again but as another reviewer says there is not much within walking distance. « less

I have been using the Holiday Inn south for the past 2 years on a regular basis. I have received excellent service each and every time. On Sunday we held out 1st Annual Conference and the service we had was amazing. I would especially like to commend Samantha Fensome, Rachel Barber, Ryan McGarry and the one that really went the extra extra mile EMMA HOPLIN. room was fab but whole experience was ruined by having my car vandalised in the car park, two tyres were slashed. reception lady was brilliant but not happy as they say they have cctv but it doesnt seem to cover where my car was (at the entrance) and the police cant see anything on camera.i find this pretty poor seeing as its only a small car park and the cctv doesnt cover it all. unfortunately would not stay here again because of this. « less

I am sorry your car was targeted during your stay this is the first and only car incident of this kind during the weekend in question and the previous months since taking over the hotel. I am looking into CCTV coverage of my car park as you highlighted it has not covered the incident but in the whole is a safe parking facility. For business on the South side of Coventry, this hotel is well located on the junction of the A45 / A46. Good staff, good rooms, although the Gym is too small and not so well equipped. Try to get a room at the back of the hotel which will reduce the noise from the roads out front. Food is OK - typical fare, nothing exceptional but good value for money. « less

We were disappointed on arrival to see the enormous pile of cigarette buts at the front door. No-one was on Reception and a couple of staff walked past without stopping to ask if we were being attended to. Eventually, we asked a member of staff to find the receptionist, who then booked us in.The rooms are fairly well kept except the plumbing and heating. The menu has a lot to be desired.The breakfast is good, however the sausage quality and the scrambled egg was off putting. « less
