arezzo is at 35 minutes driving all along the Setteponti Road, through olive groves, vineyards and medieval hamlets.
We suggest to visit Piero della Francesca’s frescoes in San Francesco church, the main square of Arezzo, called “Piazza Grande” that really is the heart of the medieval town.
We suggest to visit also Anghiari, San Sepolcro and Cortona, very beautiful medieval villages.

I recently stayed at Dimora Casa Eugenia with friends as a lovely getaway. The Casa is located in the charming authentic village, Loro Cifuenna and was a great base to explore Tuscany. Being able to drive and rent a car is a must. There is a train station a 40 minute drive from Loro Cifuenna where there are frequent trains to Florence and Rome, so it allowed us to explore the big cities as well. The customer service at the Casa was exemplary, Francesca and Carlo were very accomodating and helpful with our plans, full of great suggestions including the best/ most locally authentic places to eat when in Florence. I cannot say enough about the great service they provided. Breakfast is served at the Casa, however there are two restaurants one on either side that serve great food. « less

What a find, we'll be back, thank you!! A lovely, authentic Tuscan hideaway, nestled between cobbled streets and walkways, away from the hustle and bustle of busy life! Made all the more inviting by such a lovely Italian couple who welcome you with warmth and comfort. Breakfasts so inviting with delicious capuccino and homemade cakes! Vey well located for amazing wine tasting tour at a nearby winery, but also well located to visit Arezzo and Cortona, where 'Under the Tuscan Sun' was filmed. Fantastic restaurants with excellent cuisine right in the village. One does need a car to enjoy the surrounding countryside and all the area has to offer. The local wine tour of the cellars and history, followed by lunch at the Bottega in Radda Chianti is a must in this area. « less

My partner and i visited Dimora Casa Eugenia at the beginning of October when we needed to get away from it all. We booked through 'Groupon' and having never booked this way before we were a little nervous of what we would find, but our fears were completely unfounded. It was an absolute gem of a place! Quintessentially Italian, Fantastic restaurants either side with very knowledgable waiters who were only too happy to discuss the food and the best wines to go with them. We stayed in the 'Verde' room which was very spacious and clean.The owners and staff couldnt do enough to make our stay comfortable. I would highly recommend the physio therapist that you can book to come and give you a full body massage in your room , bliss! « less

Dimora Casa Eugenia is a a beautiful Italian hotel that truly feels like home. It is located in the charming medioeval village of Loro Cifuenna. The village is easily accessible and can be used as a base to be explore Tuscany.
Dimora Casa Eugenia is located in a quiet little plaza in where you can find two very good quality restaurants, and not far from there a wonderful bakery!. The house will delight you with lovely frescoes in the living room and paintings & photographs of local artists in the dinning room. You can also enjoy views of the hills and some areas of the old town as well as to listen to the calmness of the river from this room. The bedrooms are very spacious, and homely. We stayed for five nights in one of the rooms that has a view to the Courtyard and found it to be quiet and relaxing. Other rooms have a view to the hills. In the mornings we were spoiled with a very generous breakfast and must say that Francesca makes the best Cappuccino!
Francesca and Carlo are the best hostesses we have met while traveling in Italy. They were always willing to help and provide good advise. They were very patient and friendly, and genuinely made us feel very welcome. They provide us with great recommendations of things to do in the region, in particular for dinning... P.s. Carlo, we didn’t dare to check our weight after our holidays... but will certainly keep those memories until we go back!

We stayed for five nights at Dimora Casa Eugenia on our return from Sorrento and had a wonderful holiday. A warm welcome from Francesca, Carlo and family. The rooms are excellent; tastefully furnished, comfortable and quiet. The hotel has two excellent restaurant within the Piazza one very reasonably priced and of very high standard, wide and imaginative choice of local dishes and a second restaurant, slightly more expensive but with exciting menu and fine dinning. The town had much to offer. A brisk walk and coffee to start the day at the tabacci before a good breakfast in the hotel; long walks (or drives) in the surrounding hills, a visit to the resorted water mill powered by the river in the dramatic gorge running through the town or choosing local olive oil and Chianti to bring home. The local rail station has frequent and fast trains to Florence but leave sufficient time to find a parking place. Francesca arranged a visit and tasting at a well known wine and olive oil producer; a stunning drive and memorable experience. In all a great stay, thank you. « less
