Yes the price is low, but there are bugs and mold in the bathrooms and the pillows may as well not exist. We did ask for extra pillows as there are none in the rooms only to be told that there were none available. Yes it is right beside the airport but this also means that the loud sounds for planes flying over is a problem. pay a bit more and stay somewhere else! « less

Although you were close and the gentleman behind the counter was super nice, helpful and really gave great customer service the room was ok and clean. But the bedding was insufficient and the bed very uncomfortable. We didnt have enough towels and the bedding wasnt comfortable. We booked on line and it seemed like a great deal but we were ached after only 5 hours of sleep but still really cheap. However when we flew back into Detroit we arrived late and decided to stay again, but when we went to check in they didn't give us the same rate it $20.00 more so we went and checked next door and stayed in the Days Inn had the same price and I asked to see the rooms. The bedding was GREAT and the bed had newer pillow tops. We had lots of towels and for the same price we stayed there. Now in the future we would check the room first before staying at the Super 8 because when you see the competition the rooms do not compete. Your staff was GREAT and so nice but that isn't enough to wake up achy. « less

This place is a real dump. The pictures online make it look very bright and clean but it is just the opposite. The first room I was offered was very smelly from cigarette smoke. They did change it but it was still not very clean - cigarette burns in the carpet and dark and dingy. I was tempted to sleep with my clothes on as I wasn't sure the bed was really clean although there was nothing obvious. It was quite noisy as it is located at the end of the runway so lots of air traffic. Also a lot of noise from the highway even though I was at the back. Breakfast had 2 kinds of sweet cereal, coffee and muffins the size of 50 cent pieces. No tea, the juice machine was broken and I had to ask for butter and/or jam. When the jam came it was as hard as nails so obviously very old. I was not aware in advance that the car was not remaining on their lot and was a little concerned that I had to give up my car keys although there were no mishaps. In future I will pay a little extra and stay at one of the hotels on Merriman Rd - just as close to the airport but much nicer. I will never stay here agian. « less
