Stayed at River Lodge. Two nights on living social voucher. Had a outdoor hot tub job one was ever in! Which was wonderful. When I opened the door my jaw dropped never stayed some place so nice. Coffee grinder in the room, cabinet which had the mini fridge inside. Lighting beautiful. I stayed on the lower level sat on the patio for sunrise. Biked to Benham falls my traveling companion thought as unactive as I am I wouldn't make it. Rode the biketrail it was all just so beautiful. I will stay again! « less

I have been here twice, once in August and again last week. The property is lovely, it combines well maintained / groomed grounds with natural areas. The view of the mountains is superb and I really enjoyed walking the paths in the mornings with a cup of coffee. Viewing and listening to all the birds was such a peaceful way to start the day. The accommodations are very nice. In August I stayed in a standard guest room, this time we had a nice condo-type suite. We brought our dog and were required to pay a large fee. It was worth it, she enjoyed the stay as much as we did. Plus we were really able to relax having her with us. There are so many trails and parks in the area, it really is a great place to be a dog. We went to happy hour at the Owl's Nest one night, it was adequate but a bit overpriced. It was sunny so we sat out on the patio and enjoyed a view of the mountains- that made up for the over priced, mediocre food. They do have a good selection of beers on tap and they also do some specialty cocktails, I had a Marion berry drop which was very nice. On this stay I had a chance to visit the Sage Springs spa. We used the lap and then relaxed in sauna and whirlpool. It was a great stay and we will definitely be back, hopefully in summer to take advantage of the hot sun and poolside bar. « less

The resort is BEAUTIFUL. The staff treated us like we were literally ROYALTY. It was absolutely phenomenal, and we cannot wait to get back there and relax again!
We went in early April, and the weather was totally blue skies and sunny... Then, out of no where it snowed like crazy. It was gorgeous and white everywhere, but not too cold at all.
Our room was so ridiculously awesome. Two stories, with a loft-like bedroom on top. A fireplace, kitchen, and everything. We were even welcomed with a plate of cheese and fruit in the fridge upon arrival!

Reservation clerk was very accommodating and flexible. As others mention, rooms are a bit small, but the king bed rooms on the second floor with cathedral ceiling and fireplace are just fine for 2. « less
