This hotel had some quite good points and some quite bad points...hence the title.
The Good: Good breakfast on all counts - quality food and variety. Reasonably sized room that was both clean and comfortable for sleep. Contemporary decor that was bold but also somewhat dark and confronting.
The Bad: "Free" in room wi-fi that was so poor that it was useless apart from basic email. Cramped bathroom with poor toiletries. Contemporary decor that was bold but also somewhat dark and confronting. « less

We loved this hotel. The rooms were spacious and had lots of amenities. The breakfast was delicious and includes made to order omelettes. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Other people talk about the long walk to the center, but it is only about 15 minutes, and it is nice to get exercise after all the tapas. « less

Stayed 4 nights early May 2013 at this modern 4 star city centre hotel. As most reviews mention good rooms with all mod cons, free bottled water and toiletries in room and good buffet breakfast to start the day.. for once with great coffee. The hotel has the added bonus of an outdoor pool and sun beds for a chance to cool off following a hot days sightseeing in Seville. The hotel is literally across the road from the main railway: station..Santa Justa ...which is great for early morning departures to Cordoba or Cadiz for day trips. Airport bus drops you at the station and picks up for return-4 euros each way. Local bus stops just outside C1 and C2 circular route into historic centre -1.5 euros takes 10 minutes or 32 bus north into centre. If staying a few days get a Bonobus 10 ride pass for 7 euros. All in all a good stay with friendly and very helpful front reception and breakfast staff. « less

Stayed there for 2 nights in May 2013. It is located about a 25 min walk (5 min by taxi ride / 15 min by bus) from the cathedral but just over the road from the train station, so is quite convenient. The hotel has all the facilities expected of a 4* tourist class hotel - the rooms are a good size, quiet and well appointed. Breakfast was fine, with a reasonable selection and good coffee! My only critisism is that the wi-fi (which is free) didn't have a strong enough signal to work in my room - I had to stand by the door or stay in the bathroom to keep a connection. When I advised reception they promptly sent a technician but he couldn't improve the signal. I was offered another room but had unpacked by then and left it. Overall recommended as a good value stay. « less

This is a very pleasant hotel in a good location in a lovely city. I had stayed in Sevilla before and decided to try a hotel that was a bit nearer the centre this time. As it turns out this hotel wasn't quite as close to the centre as I thought it was but it is walkable
This hotel is about a 25 minute walk from the main centre of Sevilla which is quite nice but I actually used to catch the bus from directly outside the hotel and go to the city centre on that. This took about 15 minutes because the bus is using a very busy route and there is generally quite a lot of traffic.
The hotel itself is very well appointed. The rooms are lovely, large with comfortable beds and my room had a nice view out over the city as I was on the top floor. The room was clean and had all the touches you would expect of a four star hotel. It also had excellent air conditioning which is essential in Sevilla.
There is a nice restaurant, although the cooked breakfast didn't look up to much to be honest with some very odd things being served along with the eggs and bacon - peas, carrots and courgettes one day - obviously left overs from the night before, but the continental breakfast was excellent. In the evenings the restaurant you use for breakfast is closed and you have to use another located on the ground floor. I never ate here but went out every evening and strolled toward the centre of town down the Av.de Kansas City which takes you toward the Nervion district. There are a lot of shops, bars and restaurants around this area, including a very large shopping centre with places like McDonalds and TGI Fridays in if you don't want to use a Spanish restaurant. This is also where Sevilla FC have their ground so if you are there over a weekend during the season when they are at home expect a lot of people - or head off somewhere else.
There is also a fantastic, but tiny, bar just on the corner of the Calle Luis Montoto and the Calle Munoz Seca. It gets crowded but you can sit outside and watch the world go by. You'll need to be able to speak a bit of Spanish as the owners and locals don't speak English but basic pointing and sign language should get you what you want.
The Hotel is a bit quiet of an evening in terms of things to do, or even a bar to sit at, but the attractions of the area make up for that.
There is a nice pool, not large, but usable and plenty of loungers.
I'd go back again. It's a good hotel that does exactly what you'd expect of a four star hotel. « less
