The hotel has 56 rooms. We have 2 Jacuzzi rooms(1 smoking and 1 non-smoking). We are 75% complient with non-smoking rooms. In the rooms, we have cable TV with HBO, ironing boards and irons, micro-frigs, 1 bed King-2 Queen beds, coffee pot and coffee and tea. Interior entrance with elevator. Withing 5 minutes of Starbuck's, Home Depot, Wal-Mart Super Center, and Golden Corral. Withing 10 minutes of Gateway raceway, Gateway Grizzlies baseball, Cahokia mounds, Fairmont Race track, Metro Link rail, and the Casino Queen. Only 12 miles from downtown St. Louis and the Gateway Arch.

This hotel has spacious rooms with a couch, table, microwave and fridge (not all rooms have a microwave). There is a pool and a nice breakfast is served with waffles, gravy, cereal, danishes. The only complaint I have is our non-smoking room smelled badly of smoke.

The hotel was exactly like its advertisement online! Quite refreshing over hotels that use special lenses to make their pool and rooms look larger than they are. Pictures of the pool area online make the pool look small which it is. However there is plenty of room to enjoy a soak (just not enough to do laps.) Handicap accessibility to the pool has been completed. There isn't a workout facitility or business center but they offer wi-fi in the rooms and there is a health club called Leisure World with an ample size pool about 2 blocks away which you can purchase a day pass for $8.
The lobby & breakfast area are clean and well kept. Breakfast consisted of waffles, pastries, muffins, toast, bagels, cereal & oatmeal, apples & oranges, apple & orange juice, coffee including decaf, french roast, & breakfast blend. Tara the morning desk clerk & breakfast hostess was great about refilling items as they ran low. Her great attitude made all the difference in deciding that I would most certainly be staying again.
The bed was exceptionally comfortable and easy to fall asleep in. Corridors were quiet and at times I wondered if I was the only one in the hotel even though the parking lot was full.
Rooms were spacious in size & contained 4 cup coffee maker and refrigerator. There is an ample size desk, 2 comfortable chairs & a couch in rooms with a King size bed. Rooms are clean with fresh linens. The biggest disappointment was the loud bathroom fan that has some dust in it. The sink had small hairline cracks around the drain but nothing to be concerned with. Newer flat screen television with remote control with easy view from the bed. However it didn't rotate so it wasn't the best view from the couch.
Overall if you are looking for a 2-star hotel in Collinsville, Illinois this one is definitely worth the value! « less
