Exceptional value for money by Paris standards. The Hyatt Madeleine is a small(ish) boutique hotel with a great location in the centre of town. Easy walking distance of the Madeleine church, the Opera, Place de la Concorde, the shops of Boulevard Hausmann and the Champs Elysee. Large, modern comfortable rooms, powerful air conditioning system ( vital in muggy Paris summers ) and US style power showers. Good WiFi.
Pros: Exceptional multi-lingual staff. A warm welcome, efficient check in. Quick friendly service in the restaurant . None of the arrogance and aloofness that you find in many Paris 5 stars . Bellman knowledgeable and eager to help. Management of this hotel are clearly on top of their game. Rooms and bathrooms reflect Hyatts high levels of comfort and attention to detail . Excellent turn down service . A big plus - many business guests leave before 9 am so there's a good chance of getting a room early if you've come in on the o/night from JFK or LAX.
Cons : Public areas small. Café M, the restaurant, can get busy at breakfast and lunch. The entry system on my room on the 2nd floor was temperamental.
Conclusion. Half the price of the Hyatt Vendome or other Paris 5 star hotels This is 5 star at 4 star pricing. Staff are a delight. Rooms are everything you'd expect of a top end Hyatt. Attracts a knowledgeable US and UK business and leisure crowd . « less

I had an excellent stay at the Hyatt Paris Madeleine. It was located near La Madeleine in a very nice area of the city with nearby metro stops providing easy transportation.
The staff was incredibly helpful and very service oriented (some of the best service I have ever received at a hotel), the room was spacious and kept very clean by the maid service, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast at the hotel restaurant was awesome, the lobby bar/lounge had great food, incredible desserts and good tea and coffee. Extra services offered were also great. We booked a host to meet us at the airport and were able to bypass a 2+ hour line at passport control, and the hotel offered excellent suggestions for restaurants and sights to see around Paris (along with museum passes, etc.). I would stay there again. This is my new favorite hotel in Paris. « less

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and couldn't have been happier with our experience. We arrived around 11:30 am to the hotel and our room was immediately ready. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with all of our questions. They really were there to serve you with a smile.
The rooms were larger then most Paris rooms. The decor was nice and the bathrooms were all new. We had the Deluxe King room.
I don't know if I'd bother getting the buffet with breakfast, the selection is very limited. You can just go a la carte if you'd like or go out for breakfast somewhere. Don't be stuck in your hotel every morning, go see the sights. The restaurant in the hotel has a very good dinner menu and we both loved our dishes.
The location of this hotel is fantastic, you're within walking distance of the Arc, Lourve & Champs Elysees. We even walked to Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame but you can always get a taxi as well or take the metro. Have the hotel hail you a taxi, not call one to come.
We didn't have one issue at the hotel the entire time, everything went perfectly. « less

We had 2 rooms for 3 people which we reserved months in advance( not that that means anything). We checked in at 1 PM, which was before the official check in time of 3 PM. One of the rooms was ready so we moved our luggage to that room and were told the other room would be ready "shortly". No problem. We went for a walk and enjoyed the sights and returned at 3 PM. Now we were told that the room still wasn't ready. Apparently housekeeping was still in the process of working on it. Perhaps they should have told the housekeeping people that the people for that room had arrived at 1 Pm and were ready. No! After a litany of excuses about why the room wasn't ready, it was available at 3:20 PM. Not a big deal, but hey this is a Hyatt and I am a diamond member.
Also, at the 1 Pm check-in, after waiting 20 minutes for the concierge to be available I requested her to confirm a reservation at a hard to reserve restaurant and leave a message in the room that we already occupied. Her again more slippage. She did confirm the restaurant but did not leave me a message. I had to track her down in the lobby later in the day.
Finally, the rooms we received were VERY SMALL and the the decor had a definite shabbiness the screamed "it time for a facelift". Closet doors that showed cracks, shabby carpet, shabby furniture, etc.
You have to take all this in the context that this is a Hyatt property, I am a Diamond member, and this is a 4 star property. You can definitely do better at these prices. « less

I am disappointed I could only stay for 2 nights. This small hotel was just beautiful.
The room was small but this is Paris and it as so tastefully decorated and cozy I thought it was lovely. The bed was comfortable, the room temperature worked well, the internet was free and fast and although the rooms are not sound proof, I slept very very well here.
I was a little disappointed that tea and coffee facilites are not provided and tea to the room is quite expensive, however the tea I did order was one of the nicest I have ever had. I am not sure what type of tea they used but it was strong and brewed perfectly. Presentation was impressive also.
The bathroom was small, modern and the water pressure from two shower heads great.
The clock includes an apple docking station.
Room service was quick, friendly and of a very high standard.
The staff were so friendly. I really felt at home here. There is nothing that could have been done to improve my stay here, it was perfect in every way.
