Situated on the Ayrshire coastline, Trump Turnberry, a Luxury Collection Resort, Scotland is the perfect place to spark imaginations and creativity and is just one hour from Glasgow and 30 minutes from Prestwick Airport.Turnberry is famous for its two Championship golf courses, the Ailsa and the Kintyre. The Ailsa, host of the 1977, 1986, 1994 and 2009 Open Championship, is ranked among the world's best. An extensive 18 month refurbishment programme is now underway and the resort will re-launch on 1 June 2016 when the redesigned Open Championship golf course, the Ailsa, will be available for play for the first time. Trump Turnberry hotel will also re-open its doors following an extensive upgrade which includes the lavish refurbishment of all hotel bedrooms to the same, world leading standard.The instantly recognisable traditional Edwardian building is set across three levels and first opened in 1906 as the world's first golf resort. It boasts an oceanside setting with far reaching views to the isle of Arran and the Mull of Kintyre. Through the renovation all bedrooms in the hotel building will be refurbished to create a reflection of the indigenous nature of the resort and its rich history. Each features a large, marble bathroom, with many offering exceptional views across the Championship links golf courses across to the Irish Sea.The Ailsa course is the legendary host of four Open Championships in 1977, 1986, 1994, 2009. Currently, it is under construction overseen by renowned architects Mackenzie & Ebert. Trump Turnberry also has the 18 hole Kintyre course, which remains open during this time. The newly renovated clubhouse features an extended professional shop, refurbished meeting rooms and The Duel in the Sun restaurant for relaxed dining. Tuition is also available within the Turnberry Performance Academy. The Spa at Turnberry features a 20 metre infinity swimming pool with whirlpool, state of the art Technogym Fitness Studio, sauna, steam room and hydrotherapy baths. ESPA and ishga treatments are also available, featuring favourites such as hot stone massages, facials and wraps. The third phase of the multi-million pound refurbishment project at Trump Turnberry will include 'The Spa at Turnberry' and this project will run from 27th June 2016 until 13th February 2017 inclusive. The current Spa, including swimming pool, fitness suite and treatment rooms, will therefore be closed during these dates while it undergoes significant enhancements. We are however delighted to advise that a selection of relaxing, indigenous Spa treatments and access to an alternative exercise gym will still be available.The Wee Links Pitch & Putt was created by Mackenzie & Ebert and is designed to play like a mini Ailsa course. Also for use is a putting green and jogging trails. On site is our outdoor activity centre, Turnberry Adventures which can facilitate quadbiking, archery, waterzorbing and horse riding.Now, under the ownership of the Trump Organization and subsequent investment, Trump Turnberry has a selection of newly refurbished meeting rooms, taking its total number of spaces to eleven.The Ailsa Craig Suite is one of the new spaces to be created - a fresh, airy room with large picture windows overlooking the Championship golf courses and beyond. With cleverly installed AV and a large television screen, it is perfect for a delegate grouping of approximately 140 theatre style. The Caledonia Ballroom is a large, sparkling room featuring a selection of glittering chandeliers and is ideal for a selection of larger scale conferences and events, with a theatre capacity for up to 224 people. Also new to the resort is The Old Tom Morris Suite, in a nod to the legendary four time Open Champion. This room is the ideal space for pre-dinner drinks ahead of a function in the Caledonia Ballroom.Located with the Trump Turnberry clubhouse, The Tom Watson Boardroom is named after the legendary Open Champion who thrilled the golfing world in 1977 during the famous Duel in the Sun.With views towards the famous Ailsa 18th closing hole and the iconic Trump Turnberry hotel, The Champions Suite is a tribute to the resorts illustrious golfing history. Featuring images of the Turnberry Champions, past and present, this large room has a casual, golfing atmosphere that is perfect for those with a love of the great game. Also opening in August 2016 is The Donald J. Trump Ballroom. This grand new function space has a capacity for up to 550 guests and features floor to ceiling windows with magnificent views across to Ailsa Craig and the Isle of Arran. Surrounded by 800 acres of countryside, Trump Turnberry's location benefits those guests looking for something a little more active from a team building perspective. Onsite is a dedicated outdoor activity centre called Turnberry Adventures, which offers a selection of exhilarating outdoor pursuits.
