The hotel is built around the heritage listed Treasury Building, an Australian landmark dating back to 1851. InterContinental Sydney has a stunning new rooftop Executive Lounge built to capture uninterrupted harbour views, the lounge is surrounded entirely by glass doors opening onto a timber walkway around its perimeter. The hotel's 509 contemporary guest rooms and suites are designed along classical lines - but with a new, urban feel. With a clever use of furniture that maximises the view, they feature a cushioned window seat, luxurious chaise longue, an oversized work desk, and sheer and black-out blinds.
