In 1974 The Army Corp of Engineers began The Raystown Lake Project as flood control for the Susquehanna Valley. The dam is 225 feet high and over 1,700 feet long. It is located 21 miles north from Lake Raystown Resort, Lodge & Conference Center. The result is Pennsylvania's largest man made lake, and best place to enjoy fishing, boating, water sports and everything mother nature has to offer.
